Good. I actually like the name. Reggie did have a point before he revealed it last year. He said that the system could offer "Many ways to unite people in fun multiplayer games." And this name proves it. It's far better than a boring name like Wii HD.

I'll probably forget about the name after a bunch of games are revealed at E3 2012, like I did with the original Wii at E3 2006 (Warioware Smooth Moves alone was enough to make me want a Wii).

... And when the system doesn't sell because consumers don't believe it's a brand new game console, Nintendo'll have another situation like the 3DS launch on their hands. Anyone gonna wait for the inevitable price drop?

Last I heard it was the lack of first-party games that made the 3DS have a crappy launch.

Keep it PG-13-ish.
Honestly, it's a name. I don't care if they call it the Nintendo Rainbow Farter, what matters to me is not names or even the features, it's the games. As long as they give me some great titles to look forward to, I'll buy it. People will always find things to complain about, and to pick the name as one of those things seems a bit shallow. Who cares what the system is called?
And I don't know if consumers really won't believe it's a new console, that's marketing's job. I mean, people bought the Game Boy Advance, even if it was adding Advance to Game Boy. People bought the Super NES, even if it just added Super to NES. I think that if people failed to realize that the 3DS was a completely new handheld, that was marketing's fault, not the name.

I think its the way that the 3DS looked that threw people off.

Or maybe because a 250 dollar handheld system with a terrible launch wasn't a great idea? You know, the actual reason it didn't sell well at first? That thing? Remember? Yeah. Ok. Good.
