Is there any Wii U games that are discontinued?

Not that I can think of. Most, if not all, Wii U games are available digitally. Why?

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

I like playing older games and since I'm getting a Wii U soon for me and my son wanted to enjoy some of the older ones.

Warriors Orochi 3 Hyper, is discontinued.

I'm not sure yet, but I believe Tank! Tank! Tank!, Tekken Tag Tournament 2, and probably some ESPN games are all discontinued at retail. But you can get them at the eShop.

The Warriors game is the only one I'm sure is discontinued at retail and not worth paying $60 for on the eShop.

Because Nintendo would release a demo of a discontinued game?

Discontinued as in physical release. You can still get it digitally.

Well the retail version is becoming very hard to find, maybe it's being re-released as part of a Pikmin trilogy (1, 2 and 3) or a definitive edition (with all DLC).

Hmm... discontinued?
Probably all third party games are discontinued at this point. Most won't be hard to find for a while yet, and many can be purchased digitally from the eShop as well.
It's doubtful that Nintendo has discontinued any of their first party releases, although some games (like Pikmin 3) probably saw smaller print runs than mainline franchises like Mario.

Did you/ your son ever have a Wii? I/m just asking because the Wii U will play Wii games, so you can go look for some really good, cheap used wii games to play on your Wii U, too.

Need for Speed Most Wanted is really impossible to find. Since launch I never found this game, and the digital version is extremely expensive to buy.

Me gusta jugar videojuegos. Soy de México. Sorry my english grammar. I love the Virtual Console, party and fighting games too.

I think the issue is that stores aren't stocking as much copies of Pikmin 3 as before, or just don't bother with ordering more copies.

Very few games are completely impossible to find but some become rarer and increase in value more than others due to how many were originally printed and how popular they went on to be. Xenoblade Chronicles on the wii comes to mind.

Not sure about Wii U. Windwaker is generally more expensive than it was at release though.

It's dangerous to go alone! Stay at home.
