Terrible in what way? What TV are you using? Are you using HDMI? What resolution are you running the Wii U at?

I seem to remember you have to set the Wii U's output in the settings. Do you maybe have it outputting standard definition?

It's dangerous to go alone! Stay at home.

The resolution is set to 1080p and it doesnt seem that way it looks below hd ,im using crown tv, yes im using HDMI

Perhaps your HDMI TV doesn't support 1080p? Try 1080i. Or even 720p.

It supports it and I've tried every resolution

Wii U looks decent on my TV, but old Wii games truly do look awful. Especially Skyward Sword.

Hey man shsme to hear its not looking good. I don't know much about crown TVs as its not a make we have here but it could be that it just isnt a great make. I had a buddy who had a cello HDTV and while HD channels looked fine no gaming consoles did and the blu ray players weren't much better. Maybe trying hooking it up to a friends tv and see it it looks better and maybe then you will have a better idea of what to do.

I know right but I think its kinda charming lols its hard to believe its only a few years ago but feels retro. Some games still have the magic though which is awesome.

I have a 47" LG LED, have my Wii U hooked up with HDMI and set to 1080p. It looks amazing!

I don't think the most important question has been answered:

That's not really important. We should all suggest random settings and list our own TV and settings, that should solve the problem eventually.

I would simply get your vision checked if you think Mario Kart, or the Splatoon Testfire, looks terrible on an HDTV lol

Wii U hooked up to Pioneer KRP600 60" 1080P HD Plasma - all games are crisp and clear, Nintendo's first party titles look absolutely spectacular - bursting with colour and crisp details.

Sounds like your TV is the issue here and I'm not going to downgrade to a lacklustre LED/LCD TV anytime soon.

Everyone knows that the solution to this problem is to journey across multiple continents to find the lost city of mole-men and make a sacrifice to their leader. I have the Sony Bravia model 3658 from 2007 and I hooked it up to HDMI 3 and have a potted plant next to it, and it looks fine to me.

Based on the next to zero info the thread starter has provided, this must be a troll thread, not actually looking for help in any way but just wants to complain.

Wii U makes my eyes bleed with amazing colors on my Samsung.

Wii games look beautiful when set to 4:3/full screen on an hdtv.....but set to widescreen? Not a chance! And that's the mistake most people are making, and it's the reason why so people say wii games look better on a full screen crt display. try full screen either using HDMI(Through wii u) or component cables set to 480p, the picture will be noticeably sharper, even the motion looks slightly better. widescreen makes wii games look very soft, pixely and a bit blown up, clearly more noticeable the bigger your TV is and the closer you sit.

Setting the output to 4:3 is not a good solution for Skyward Sward, because all the FMV in that game is recorded in widescreen. So you if you set video to 4:3, you you will be watching 16:9 cut scenes framed in a 4:3 pillarbox, displayed through a 16:9 letterbox.

In other words, the cut scenes would look tiny.
