Topic: Wii U Gamepad Connection Issues

My Gamepad has been having issues for a while now. I sent it back to Nintendo and they "fixed" it, but it's still broken.

Basically it freezes and then loses connection altogether. This is on anything including the menu(s) and games. Any advice on what to do?

1) How far are you away from the TV when this happens? Next room? 20+ feet away

2) Also, do you live in a busy apartment complex where everyone is running 50 wi-fi and blu-tooth devices 24/7?

3) Do you have problems with other wireless controllers for Wii U or other gaming systems (360,PS3, Wii, etc)?

Otherwise, I'd say it sounds like you are having some really terrible luck with your purchase...

1) In front of it, If I stretch my arm out I can touch it
2) Nope, our own house.
3) Xbox One remote, Xbox 360 remote, Wii Remote and PS3 wireless remote all work in the same spot

I've had it since March last year and it's problem after problem.

Sounds like you might have just got a defective unit from what I can tell.
I wonder if the base unit itself is the problem (not emitting proper signal) and not the game pad?

I've heard Nintendo customer service is very helpful...but I've never had to send anything in for service so I'm taking other people's words on that. I'd call and ask about having the base unit looked at.

I sent both, they said it was to do with the base unit and said they fixed it, but it ain't fixed :/

???

So...they told you it's a defective base unit, and you say it's a broken gamepad? I know it's a pain, but did you call them again and ask them to try again or replace the unit altogether? You can have your digital purchases restored if they replace the unit so long as you have a NNID I believe.

Sorry, worded it wrong. I sent both the Gamepad and the Wii U to Nintendo and they said it was the console itself and apparently fixed it.
