I will come out and say it, Zelda U will be a difficult patient wait. Nintendo devs are new to HD, important figures were on the wind waker HD and 3ds ALBW projects, only 12 months in a year, balancing staff morale and hours, and etc. Only so much resources and time. all it comes down to. let's not fool anyone. Nintendo is aware of their software driving the hardware. Under pressure...dun dun dun dun dun dun dun

They've been working on Zelda U since Skyward Sword came out, so it's already got two years under its belt. Just because Aonuma oversaw Winder Waker HD and A Link Between Worlds doesn't mean that he hasn't been paying more attention to Zelda U this whole time. I mean, how many projects does Miyamoto oversee at a time? I think Zelda U for holiday 2014 is doable, but I wouldn't get my hopes up, either.

That would be nice, but I think I'll be happy with whatever style Nintendo decides on. I've been happy with every Zelda game so far (made by Nintendo). I remember when I first saw the Wind Waker trailer. It was quite... surprising. Mainly because of that very misleading Spaceworld 2000 trailer, but I still like it.

For old time's sake, let's watch this:

Well the problem isn't Anouma but the whole Zelda team were working on WW and ALBW at the same time. The game is def going to be out next year given Hyrule Warriors hitting this year.

Hyrule Warriors was likely an idea by Tecmo Koei that doesn't use any of Nintendo's resources though. I doubt it would have anything to do with Nintendo's release schedule.

lol. The whole Zelda team made WWHD? Wind Waker was already a complete game and HexaDrive worked on upgrading the graphics, so there goes that. Hiromasa Shikata was the director for ALBW, and is most likely not the director for Zelda U (as he has not been a director for any of the other Zelda games, except for being assistant director for Twilight Princess). Hidemaro Fujibayashi will probably be the director for Zelda U since he was the director for Skyward Sword. As for the rest of the staff, I'm sure some of the Zelda U and ALBW staff was shared, but Nintendo often has teams work on more than one game at a time.

It Only Took 6 Months To develop WWHD. Yeah they Got Different Zelda Teams For Different Games

I'd guess that the Pokemon X Tekken idea comes from the rumoured Wii U Pokemon game that we saw at the end of the Pokemon history video, as it looked like more of a beat em up style. As ridiculous and fake as it sounds it wouldn't surprise me too much if there was a Pokemon beat em up (but not X Tekken), as Namco might use the same engine as they are for Smash Bros.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a 2D Metroid title on the 3DS this year either.

Outside of that I would guess that any franchises that have seen recent success on the 3DS could make a jump to the Wii U.

Pokemon Crossing would be cool, but... it's too good to be true...

I do like the idea of a 2.5D Metroid. I still think that Other M was the best direction to take the franchise gameplay-wise, but it stumbled in reaching the iconic Metroid atmosphere and flat out bombed in storytelling. Fix those two issues and I think you could have the best Metroid game yet.

Man that Seaman sequel is still floating around. I won't even give this a grain of salt, I understand how they came up with Tekken VS Pokemon due to the footage Game Freak showed so that was easier to play up....but Pokemon X Animal Crossing, the BS rocket just exploded before departure.

Blue part sounds like lies lies lies.

But the red one sounds much more realistic. One great Nintendo move for their own franchises would be next to make a fresh attempt at Pushmo/Crashmo sequel to Wii U. Damn the names really do suck for us Europeans. I really dislike the dumb Pullblox Fallblox names. The American names are so much better.

SNES Remix also sounds like a very very realistic project, since NES Remix is really great and it's all that good old Nintendo fun. And makes the Wii U eShop more alive.

I bet we will see Zelda U in E3, it will be big.

Yeah right, I am working on Zelda U as third art director and it's all going smoothly, don't believe this guy. We don't let him see what we're doing.
