Topic: Wii U Game Remakes?

Face it, with the innovation of the Wii U we're BOUND to preserve some great game remakes! Just like Twilight Princess with the Gamecube remade onto the Wii. What games should be remade on the Wii U? My wish list is really subjected to one game.. Super Monkey Ball! With the new Wii Pad (is that the official name?) I can't WAIT to see what it can do with Super Monkey Ball.. If possible throw in Super Monkey Ball 2 also, nostical factor.

Yes, we need remakes and ports on a new Nintendo console instead of original games. What a wonderful idea!

Maybe make a few ports of games that were PS360 exclusive, but make MORE sequels, I'd like to play MGS4 on WiiU

I don't see how it's any different from remaking Metal Gear on the PS3 or Halo Combat Evolved for the 360. Or the God of War HD collection. Or the Ico remake. Or the Shadow of the Colossus remake.

I'd rather Nintendo make new games rather than spend time and resources on remakes.

When was the last time Sony made a new controler? They have Move, and Dualshock, thats about it.

I'm pretty sure Nintendo has the young staff make the remakes and the experienced staff make the new games. That way the young staff can get experience with Nintendo's work. So... I do not consider that to be a reason to not have remakes.

If it's a remake of a good game and it's done well, then a remake can be great. Like Resident Evil or Metal Gear Solid on the gamecube. Honestly, I even like the idea of Wii U remakes of those two games...

Complaining about remakes is like complaining about remasters and anniversary editions of your favourite movies/albums/books. They're easy to make, they get new people into it and they spin money. Money that can be used making the new content that everyone wants.

If people don't like the remakes they wouldn't sell and they'd stop making them.............

There's some things that could work really well, and some other games that woul be pointless on the Wii U. Personally I could see a remake/remaster of Zelda Four Swords Adventures. That could make great use of the gamepad (and 3ds systems too) and finally bring out the potential that Four Swords had. I could also see a lot of classic ds games getting remade or remastered as well. Professor Layton comes to mind here.

Bigger difference is that those games you mentioned are a million times better than any Nintendo game, even Halo.

I'm with skywake and DudeSean. At worst remakes/ports are a necessary evil; at their best the games can take on an appealing new character due to more responsive controls or remastered visuals.
