Anyone else going to the Wii U Experience in Denver on Aug 24? I'll be there, so if you're going, bring like $50 or something and I'll give you an autograph.

Close, I'm going on the 23rd.
Have fun, man!
I looked this up on Google maps and it's not far from my house at all. Looking forward to all the streetpass tags, and if anyone recognizes me feel free to say hello. I'm friendly, unless you're directly responsible for making Incoming.
@Zaphod_Beeblebrox The disc drive in my wii broke twice. Nintendo fixed it for free both times. Even paid for the shipping.
Is that something that just happens automatically or do I have to call and use my (completely nonexistent) powers of negotiation? At this point I was just planning to replace the Wii with a Wii U since everything is supposedly going to be transferable.
I negotiated.
I have a launch Wii, which I guess were known for having more problems than later Wiis. I plan on keeping my Wii for gamecube support.
Everyone else in the greater Denver metropolitan area needs to gang up and protest outside the event. We'll call ourselves the "Angry Mob of Nintendo Experience Rejects" (AMNER).
Alternatively, I can go as little Philip's guardian. I'm probably old enough to pass for his father. Though with my luck he's probably six inches taller than I am. That's not going to work.

Do you know if this is being held at the Wizard's Chest? I know about where this is, but I'm not sure which actual building it's in yet.
Looking forward to this! Might have to hit the Starbucks nearby the night before. I won't be at the event that night, but the Street Pass hits will be worth the price of a coffee!
Still no invite for me. I even added a second address in Castle Rock, CO on Club Nintendo. Let us know how it goes at the Denver event. I'd like to know what I missed.
I think it must be a vacant space, but I'm not sure. I can't pinpoint any business at that exact address. Will find out in a few hours! I am bringing the 3DS for some street passes for sure.

How was it? Hopefully there was no sign of a 2013 delay for the wii u.... Were the games well done?

It was a lot of fun. They had the following games - New Super Mario Bros. - Project P-100 - Rayman Legends - SiNG - Just Dance 4 - Nintendo Land - Game & Wario - Zombie U - Ninja Gaiden - Wii Fit U - Batman Arkham. I may be forgetting a game or two, but that about covers all of them.
They were announcing that it would be available Holiday 2012. Nothing too new or exciting. I think Nintendo Land was my favorite. NSMB will be a must buy, but the three maps they had were very similar to the maps I'm playing right now on the 3DS, so it was hard to think of it as a different game at this point.
The hi-res graphics were very nice. I've never seen such crisp graphics on a Nintendo system, so that was great to see. The whole event was very well done and everyone seemed to have a lot of fun.

Great to hear! I actually swung by last night, or tried to, but parking was a nightmare so I'll just be going tonight instead. Anything I should know going in? It sounds like a blast!
There were probably about 30-40 people carrying a 3DS for street passes. As it turned out, I only got 10 "at the plaza gate", but I had a lot of other street passes for other games. I am trying to get all of the pink puzzle pieces, so I'm going to go again tonight just to hang out and pick up more street passes in front of the event. (I live less than a mile away.)
The only thing I'd recommend is being patient. When they first opened the doors it was packed and I didn't think I'd get to play all of the games. Go to the less popular games first and then go back to the big sellers. It cleared out after the first hour and only the diehards remained for the whole two hours. The line outside was very long when they first opened the doors, but they moved it through quickly and without any problems.
