I'm sorry but that article sucked. The only "enhancement" was adding a 2nd screen for the Gamepad. I'm sorry but that's not an enhancement, it's a feature it never needed before b/c that engine was never on a a system w/ a screen on the controller before. There isn't a single thing in that article that could be thought of as even suggesting the Wi U is more powerful than the PS3 or Xbox360. There simply isn't.

And if you want to argue - split screen not 2nd screen - fine you win, but how many previous Cryengine3 games were ever meant to be split screen? None. So its still not an "enhancement", it's a feature that was unnecessary until now.

Don't get me wrong, I think Wii U is certainly more powerful than PS3 or Xbox360 - it would have been difficult in 2012 to find less powerful hardware than that in 6 year old consoles - but theres nothing in that article that says that, except the title.

Well, a GamePad compatible version of one of the top game engines being available for Wii U, can only be a good thing. CryEngine 3 is the latest engine from CryTek, so how would you expect anymore than that?

CryEngine 3 is 5 1/2 years old, it came out in Oct 2009, so the Wii U better be able to run it. Their newest is CRYENGINE which was announced last August, about 9 months ago, without a number. Don't mean to sound nasty, but those are the facts.

Anyone interested, here's an article from June 2012, almost 2 years ago, saying CryEngine 3 looks great on Wii U, Nothing about enhancements though

For what it's worth. "The new CryEngine supports consoles such as the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Wii U."

Yeah, I know Crytek said Wii U can handle CRYENGINE (4), but that wasn't in the original linked to article. I've said from my 1st post I think Wii U is a capable console, I just diidnt think that article said anything we didn't already know and use of the word "enhancement" was a bit misleading.

I'll be impressed when I see a Cryengine 4 game. I think Sonic Boom is Cryengine 3, which is 5 years old. 3 years old if you want to only go back as far as the port to consoles in 2011 for Far Cry 3. I think Wii U can handle it, but I'ld still like to see it. I want Zelda to look like Skyrim. Not FPS though, I dont like playing in FP view, but I'm sure Nintendo could push Wii U to better graphics than anything on PS3 or Xbox360.

I really don't want Zelda to look like Skyrim, I would rather have Zelda look like Oblivion. Skyrim is filled with gray colors, Oblivion was much more colorful. Overall I want Zelda to have its own Art Style, like all the others

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

Yeah what's up with the "I want it to look like this, like that, like TP, like angrybirds...

Let it be unique. Not that you have any control over how it will look anyway .

I see. Never the less, that's actually 4.5 years old, not 5.5. The GamePad functions being added is good news, because that's the only aspect that WOULD need to be added, aside from what the Wii U can handle, graphically and such.

The love/ hate relationship with graphic capabilities in the Nintendo community is fascinating. So many people spend so much time bashing Sony and Microsoft's systems and their games because they are "all about the graphics and explosions blah blah", but then the same folks get super excited over meaningless articles claiming a rather aged graphics engine CAN RUN ON THE WII U WITH ENHANCEMENTS. Who cares? Maybe they can utilize CryEngine 3 for Turtle Tale 2.

I think you guys are so starved from having lived in the Big N vaccum for so long that you would be impressed if Nintendo released a press statement claiming "The Wii U gamepad can now be used as a calculator."

Meh. I'm not saying graphics are pointless, but I personally think buying something based around ONLY graphics is pretty ridiculous. I can totally agree that Second Son is the one of the best LOOKING games out there, but gameplay wise, I couldn't be any less interested.

You know one thing people aren't impressed with, in these new gadgets? Audio. These modern machines can handle much more advanced sound effects, but you never read or hear anyone talking about audio.

While the article doesn't show any direct praise or mention any graphical limits...

Truth be told, I really want to see and play this game on day-one

Agreed. If graphics is all your want, you will probably enjoy Killzone Shadowfail and Knack. Just sayin. For me it will always be Gameplay>>>>Audio=Graphics

OK, gray is bad, as is brown, my comment wasn't so much about the colors as the clarity. The Wii U is capable of a game that looks like Mario Kart 8, vibrant beautiful colors, which WW HD also has, but MK8 looks more real to me, like that world could really exist, while WW HD still looks like a cartoon. I want Zelda to take place in a living breathing colorful world that I know Wii U is capable of creating as was demonstrated in the garden demo. Zelda to me should be the best looking game on Wi U. Metroid may look better but shiny metal is kind of cheating compared to real life.
