Topic: Wii U E3 predictions

So, what do you think they will show? Here are my predictions:

• all the already confirmed stuff, like playable Mario Kart U and some gameplay footage of Smash Bros, etc...
• Metroid game teaser, not arriving in 2013
• F-Zero game that was secretly developed, ready for holiday season, boom Miyamoto fooled you!
• Advance Wars U trailer, making use of gamepad, probably arriving early 2014
• unexpected 3rd party games, probably 1 big name, guessing something along Bioshock infinite
• a bunch of indie games, obviously
• more advertising for Miiverse, system updates, year of luigi things
• Starfox open universe game, teaser, still early in development
• Torchlight II (lol just a wild guess with wishful thinking)
• ONE bombshell no one saw coming

I hope they fare well against the show of sony and ms, the next xbox, even though for me the least attractive next gen console if you believe the rumours, shapes up (also again if you believe the rumours) to have the most solid launch lineup. Bungies Destiny, Forza Motorsport, Halo 5 and some other big names seemingly ensuring a solid launch if people can get over the (still speculated) always on, more than gaming-multimedia-hub-things.

Your predictions?

For the Big 3rd Party Title I would rather see Destiny than a port of a game that by the holiday will be over 6 months old

Well new material from Wii Fit U, Pikmin 3, The Wonderfull 101, Bayonetta 2, and I'd hope a release date for fit, wonder and bayo.

Seeing Smash Bros (really want to see how this platform crossover is going to play out. xD), a better look at Yarn Yoshi, whatever Retro is up to, and something Metroid related.

I don't think it would be out of line to say, "Look at this game, it's out... NOW!" like you said with F-Zero, but that doesn't necessary mean F-Zero. Microsoft did that with the Xbox 360 S console. That would be awesome.

I heavily suspect a new Zelda game will be shown at E3. After all, imagine how much hype Nintendo would get if they unveiled a realistic looking Zelda title with those HD graphics and orchestrated music? I can almost see it alongside the confirmed 3D Mario, Mario Kart and Smash Bros games at this year's E3.

Retro's new project is most likely going to be shown too, although I don't have a clue what it'll be.

This sounds like it would be a great E3. Plus maybe some more video of Monolith Soft's X game

when was Metroid announced?

I'm hoping that we get F-zero as and Mario kart is a fake out.

I really don't think any kind of Metroid game is a given. Although I wish it was!

We only know for sure about Super Smash Bros., 3D Super Mario, and Mario Kart. Everything else is just speculation. Most likely they will show stuff that has already been announced and a couple surprises but for titles we know 100% will be at E3, it is only those 3.

Forgotten all about Zelda, really hope the graphics are similar to what we saw with the Zelda HD demo back when the Wii U was announced. I mean, I don't mind Wind Waker's/Skyward Sword's style, but I would love to see Twilight Princess's style again on this thing.

You just assume Retro is working on Metroid or Star Fox...they could be doing F-Zero...or Ice Climbers or something. xD

When you have metroid or Starfox, that still doesn't make Metroid a given

We do know those companies are confirmed but the games are not. I was listing titles that were confirmed. Most likely we will see "X", Pikmin 3, Baynoetta 2, Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem, and Yarn Yoshi but I haven't heard Nintendo confirm any of those.

That doesn't point towards Metroid at all. I would think more along the lines of Starfox. Starfox is a less used IP compared to Metroid, so it would make sense to release a new Starfox based soley on being a fresher experience.
Don't get me wrong, I like Metroid alot, but I would choose a new Starfox or F-Zero over Metroid anyday, just because we haven't had a new one in a longer period of time.
