Has anyone heard back from this? I'm based in the UK and have applied twice and heard nothing (after several months), and wondered who has had success and how long it took for a response and where were you based. I'm frustrated by the whole process as there is no contact number to chase them up (does anyone know of one?).
I'm a lone applicant (perhaps why they have not responded) and have been trying Unity for a while. I have a skeleton game which I think would work best on the Wii U because of the gamepad and dual display but can't even get Nintendo to respond. I'm getting annoyed at the difficulty in approaching them given they are meant to be indie friendly, I can't take the game forward without some idea about the practicals of control mechanism (which depends on the platform). I feel like giving up and trying iOS and Android at this point.
It took them about 3 months to respond when I signed up. But that was very early on when they got overwhelmed with requests and still setting up program.
Right now, it is a busy season, esp with a 2 week-ish break coming up at the end of the month. Check your emails. Before they called me, they originally emailed me. So check your spam folder for Nintendo/etc.

What is the process to become a Nintendo developer anyway?
Pretty easy to find out the software/hardware requirements and costs for an MS or Sony dev, but seems harder to get info on Nintendo, other than the fact that you can only use Unity or HTML5 unless you've got previous development experience, which is a bit of a bummer tbh.
That is the process for this program. Once signed up and approved (just a phone call to make sure you are a real person and not an alien from Mars), you can then see the prices/etc. Nintendo is still doing loaner kits for trials/etc.
Only real hardware requirement is Windows 7 or above. Their software for testing/etc does require Windows 7 and above. So if you have a Mac or Linux, will need a Windows machine (or use Wine or something to do duel OS)

Ah ok, thank you. Always thought it would make more sense to make all the info available before you sign up, otherwise you may sign up only to find that's its impossible to do anything.
