Topic: Wii to Wii U transfer problem, or two

I think I may have experienced a problem when the Wii was transferring data to the SD card. The Pikmin animation got to 74 percent then stopped. The animation continued but the progress bar stopped. This went on for well over 20 minutes. I don't even have that much data and VC games to transfer. Out of frustration, not common sense, I took the SD card out and put it back in the Wii U to see if the data had transferred. The Wii U told me that it had not. I put the card back in the Will. All the while, the Pikmin animation was continuing on the Wii. I have a bad feeling that I shouldn't have taken the SD card out. Has anyone else experienced this problem, and is there any hope for a successful transfer? As of this writing, the Pikmin animation is continuing on the Wii with the SD card placed back in.

removing the sd card in a transfer process can damage data. i think there's a fair warning about that on the transfer screen.

just try and do the transfer all over again.
in certain circumstances the transfer takes a while, sometimes much longer than 20 minutes.
rather wait an hour or two. but whatever happens, don't remove the sd card!
