Topic: Wii party u or wii party

Today I received my copy of wii party u. I am stocking up on games. Games that I might not have bought if more games were coming out.
Anyway my question is: how does the original wii party compare to this? Are both the same just with updated graphics on the wii u? If not, is there any point in owning both?

Wii Party and Wii Party U are two different games, Wii Party U is a sequel and not just a remake like Wii Sports Club is to Wii Sports.

How did you like the wii game?

It's fun when you have other people to play it with.

For me I´ve played wii party u with & without friends & I always enjoy it more without friends, mario party works better to play w/friends imo because the vibe is much more laid back and fun, I love the realistic style mixed with cartoony but I just don´t think it works as friends having fun party game. Maybe it´s different in a living room environment where you´re standing up, I dunno
