Okay, so on the old Wii you can set your aspect to 4:3 or 16:9. My current Wii U settings are 1080p. When I go into the Wii Menu to access my old games, settings has been removed and it reverts to 4:3. Anyone else have this issue or know how to set it to 16:9? This is a serious design flaw if there is no option, and they need to patch it to allow the update.

Stop nitpicking and just enjoy the new console.

Nintendo will obviously have a few start up issues with it being a new console. They will patch it soon I can assure you,

I'm having a similar yet different issue...when I run the Wii menu, it's still stuck in widescreen mode, which makes VC games like like garbage all stretched out like that.

My Backloggery Updated sporadically. Got my important online ID's on there, anyway. :P

I have the same issue with an HD TV. Check your TV for settings like Just Scan. I have been asking for help here because my TV has no such feature, but the Wii U does not seem to have any means of correcting this, either, that I have seenor heard of, which is really baffling. The other HD consoles often, if not always, include a screen adjustment option for fine tuning the display in their games. I see no mention of it in the U manual, either. Thankfully when it affects me in Mario I can just check the gamepad to see the full picture, but this is not ideal

Come on, friends,

Why don't we just have a Wii U issues thread?
