Wow, they really delayed the bundle. It should have been out before x-mas or at least in time for New Year's resolutions. This was originally supposed to be a launch window title, lol.
I sure wish there were a bundle for people who want the digital version. This is the type of thing I would really like to have access to without swapping discs. A bundle with an eShop "ticket" would be perfect for me. Oh well.
What a joke! Why not release it for the holiday season!!?? What about people without a balance board? I definitely don't want a "used" board, which makes me wait until February... @iphys And if you're right about it supposed to be a launch title, then this is an even bigger joke than I thought...
"Holy Delays Batman!!"
@Hawneyewii
What do you mean? The balance boards are already available used. I seriously doubt anyone will buy this bundle for their Wii U, then sell it soon after. People usually buy this game to play the games or as a "light" workout for indoors if they're a health nut.
The delay is probably for people looking for new stuff if they get the Wii U for the holidays. I think they're mainly delaying stuff to keep software releases all the more fresh for when they actually come out, or they probably might be riding out the trial deal before releasing the game at retail, or there could actually be an issue with getting them to retail, or it could be a combination of any or all of those... Anyway, you don't have to wait if you don't want to.
That's just my take.

@SCAR392 If I'm going to get a balance board, I want it to be a new one, not used. When I am buyng an expensive perhiperal like that, I want a new one. I don't want to take any chances with damages.

Suit yourself. These things are kind of hard to break and easy to spot of they're broken... They can handle up to 330 lbs. of force according to the box. I was honestly gonna guess you wouldn't want a used one because other people put their feet on it or something.

You can get a new balance board with wii fit or plus, then get a fit meter and download the trial. Works out cheaper than getting the new bundle. That's what I did.
I bought an Intec Action board new for $15 from Futureshop.ca. So far it's been reliable, and if it fails, I've already got my money's worth out of it by now. I didn't want to fork over $90 for the Balance Board bundle and have to wait, and I didn't want to buy a used one with greasy footprints on it, and I could no longer find a deal on the previous Wii Balance Board bundles.
So if you download the trial and sync the Fit meter with it before your 30 days are up you get to keep it forever, but you just have the trial version forever not the full version.

The trial version is the full version. Think of the trial as more of a promotion. They let you try it, and if you buy the meter within the trial, it's no longer a trial and you have the full game.

@SCAR392 Ok sweet! Do you need a balance board to sync the fit meter and get the full game? And are the 30 days for everyone at the beginning of November or do the 30 days start whenever you download the trial? I think I might get a fit meter, sync it to get the game for good and then get the balance board.

You'd probably be better off making sure you have the balance board before activating the trial. I can't remember exactly, but I think they require you to create a profile and do the "balance test" before allowing you to sync a Wii Fit Meter.
The trial starts as soon as you launch the software, so it would be a safe bet to only start the game once you have the balance board.

That's right; after you create your profile (and import Wii Fit data, if any) you take a balance test. You can download the demo, but without a board there's no point in launching it. If you're not wanting a used board, I'd just go with a new 3rd party one myself, but a used board backed with a guarantee from a game shop should be fine. You'll probably want a new silicone skin for it anyway just for comfort so I wouldn't fret over it. I'm sure there's loads of perfectly good ones out there that didn't get much use for one reason or another.
You don't even need to sync the Fit Meter in the 30 days or even before the trial offer ends. As long as you've downloaded the software by Jan 31st, you can wait to sync the Fit Meter at any time.

Good to know. I thought you had to sync a meter before your 31 days are up.

Sweet. B-cauz, I'm enjoying the original wii fit and if christmas goes well i'll be getting the "trial" asap.
Was Mariobro4. No, I'm not taking off my backpack...it's important.
You don't even use the Meter when you're playing the game. The Meter is for trying to track your activity outside of the game, and you can't even use the Meter until you've synced it with the game, which requires the Balance Board to set up a profile.
Wii Fit Meter is excellent tool, I am carrying it always with me. It doesn't weight much and can calculate calories pretty well, though it depends where you attach it when you excercise.
Since downloading the Wii Fit U demo and transferring my Wii Fit Plus data across I now get the 'System Files Corrupted' error whenever I enter Wii mode. Is this a coincidence or has anyone else had this happen to them? Wii Fit U works fine and Wii mode works in maintenance mode, but I'd rather not have to do that every time...
