Thanks Zaphod, that worked. Didn't even realize my Wii U was at the wrong time.

I'm having a hard time trying to track down the fit meter myself. No store in my area has it, and it seems Amazon is out of stock of it right now. I did see it on Nintendos online store for sale, so I might have to get one directly from them. Seems Ninty is making this pretty hard to get...guess they don't want too many people getting the software for $20.

Anyone had the chanse to try most of it ? Does it give a good workout ?
I got the P90x program on my PC, but thinking about getting the Wii Fit U. How is it compared to other programs ? Can this get you in good shape or is it just a "slightly better than sitting on your buttcheeks" type of thing.

It's effective if you do the activities. You can't expect to be good at some of the activities the first time you try them.

Some of the routines are pretty similar to what you would find in a dance workout video, except you're doing themon the balance board. The balance board wil make sure you're doing the stuff correctly.

I very much doubt playing this game would ever get you in excellent physical condition. Very few of the activities are any more intensive than taking a brisk walk, and there's nothing incredibly taxing in it. Even the strength exercises have very few repetitions so you'd probably have to do several sets for them to be very useful. I'm sure this game is great for people that are totally out of shape, but if you're in half-decent shape I wouldn't expect it to do much more than just keep you in half-decent shape.

I agree. I'll always say that some exercise is better than none at all, but people should keep their expectations realistic going in.

I think it depends on the person. I get pretty into it and go fast and stuff. The trampoline game is basically doing a squat as fiercely as you can.

All activity is good activity.
It also seems like a fairly good product for people who wants to get some extra, u just have to do the workouts more intensive and do some extra instead of following the game like a slave.
Seems like Wii fit u is a great motivator to go the extra mile.

Definately. Put more in, get more out. If you're keen on trying to do the activities with as little activity as possible, of course it won't be as effective.

Does anyone else have the "problem" that the muscles in your butt feel sore the day after you've played wii fit u? I have no idea which exercise is causing it. I love playing super trampoline, diving, locking and flamenco. When I check the menu it says I invest a lot of time in my legs but not necessarily in my thighs etc. Which exercise makes me train the muscles in my butt lol?!

Most likely anything involving squats which works the quads, thighs, hips and buttocks. There's no way to stop muscle soreness completely after exercising but stretching before and after you work out should help reduce the severity.

It's the trampoline one. My calves are the only muscles that feel a little sore from playing the games.

^ It sounds like Wii Fit U is doing its job. But if the soreness becomes a problem, you might need to reduce the number of reps. Also be sure to drink plenty of plain water. Insufficient hydration makes muscle soreness worse.

I want to get Wii Fit U for my family this Christmas, but we don't have a balance board. I noticed the download verision is already on the eshop, so I am curious about the retail Balance board bundle? Does anyone know if the Wii Fit U balance Board bundle will be out before Christmas?
I went to the Nintendo website and it says January 1st of 2014 and I just can't believe that they would release it then, but maybe it truly is that late.

The promotion to get Wii Fit U for "free" is still happening. You could probably buy a used balance board for $20-30(from craigslist, GameStop, etc), the Wii Fit Meter for $20 online(depending on your location, it may not be available at retail), then that will cost you around $50 instead of buying the bundle for $100.

The software itself is free as long as you get have a balance board and buy the Wii Fit Meter during your 31 day trial.

The only reason why anyone would want the bundle is if they want the disc version of Wii Fit U, or can't find a used balance board somewhere.

Nintendo of America web site says January 10 for the bundle:

I sure wish there were a bundle for people who want the digital version. This is the type of thing I would really like to have access to without swapping discs. A bundle with an eShop "ticket" would be perfect for me. Oh well.

Yup. It's January 10th. I already had the balance board, so all I had to do was find and buy the Wii Fit Meter.

Since I don't have a Wii U, my "Ultimate Wii Fit U Bundle" would be a black Wii U, black balance board, black Fit Meter, and eShop download ticket. Make it happen, Nintendo.
