Topic: Wii Controller Does Not Work in the Virtual Wii mode

I tried to launch the Wii from my Wii U menu. Every time I do, it says I have to pair my controller. I pair the controller from the original Wii controllers and it accepts them, then it tells me to point at an option on the screen with the Wii controller and select an option.

The problem is that I do not get a "hand" on the screen representing what I am pointing at. These controller work on my old Wii just fine and they worked on this Wii U (in Wii mode) about 2 weeks ago. I have brand new batteries in both of them, but they are both giving me the exact same problem.

Ideas?

Is your sensor bar in the correct place? Is it connected to the system properly?

The Wii U Gamepad has a "sensor bar" on it. Do you get the hand cursor when pointing your wii remotes at the Wii U Gamepad screen?

Do you get the hand pointer in the Wii U menu, when using the remotes? If so then it's not a sensor bar issue.

That was it. The sensor bar had fallen behind the tv. Thank you.
