I'm thinking of getting a second Classic Controller for my Wii U (with lots of Wii retail and VC games).
Now the Wii Classic Controller Pro (one of which I already own) is too expensive (at least in the UK), I'm thinking either the original Classic Controller (which I've never used) or the new GameCube-style Wired Fight Pad by PDP and officially licensed by Nintendo.
Does anyone have any advice? Obviously the latter isn't out yet, how does the Classic Controller compare to the CC Pro? Is the GameCube style really that much better for Smash Bros and N64 VC games, as I've heard?
Or wait a bit. I wouldn't pay the current prices either. (I do have both types don't like the analog triggers on the original for VC that doesn't normally have them).

Freedom of the press is for those who happen to own one.
I'm just a bit reluctant to get a second-hand controller - you never know how much wear they've had... But I'd forgotten about the analogue shoulder buttons, thanks for that...
