The Kindle Fire, a very underpowered tablet device, is selling (at a loss) for $US200.
The Wii U, which features a very underpowered tablet + HD game console, is coming from a company that doesn't like selling at a loss. It will sell for...
I think $400.
But Iwata said they will have to sell the Wii U at a loss so it can have a low price, the same way they are selling the 3DS at a loss now after the price cut.

I'm thinking more than the 3DS's original price of $250, but not by much. I'm glad that it'll be compatible with all Wii accessories. Saves me money. ^_^ but I still need WiiSpeak, the balance board, and MotionPlus.

I'm thinking 300$ or 250$ like you said, but i'm thinking it has to be lower than 240$ if they don't want it to be like the 3DS... since the PS3 launchec at 600$ in 2006 and nobody bought it.. instead they bought the wii.
