This.
Seriously, if you don't like sex and blood and swearing, play something else. No company is going to remove something from the game that adds to the art style/story/other legitimate reasons for its inclusion, because a few people don't like it.
Suck it up and move on.
QUEEN OF SASS
It's like, I just love a cowboy
You know
I'm just like, I just, I know, it's bad
But I'm just like
Can I just like, hang off the back of your horse
And can you go a little faster?!
These things don't need to be in Movies, Comics, Books, etc. Then why do all these have this material? It sells. If you want less games with this stuff in them then don't buy games with this material. If you like some of this material then do others have the right to say you shouldn't be allowed to have it?
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

Amen to this
ITT: "games should stick to my sense of morality and I'm going to whine because it doesn't"
Guess what, there's something that each of you don't mind, that someone else deems morally unacceptable. Doesn't mean you shouldn't be allowed to enjoy it. Hypocrites.

Where are we asking for swearing (or sex or violence) to be legally banned in games? Please feel free to show me.
Since game designers have the freedom to make any game gruesome, sexual, or profane as they want, they have the choice to either make those things necessary or unnecessary. I'm totally fine with either, but for me, I see issues arise in things like ratings & content, plus the access a person has to those games. In my experience, parents seem to let their children play almost any kind of game they want, which can be a problem if the parent can't educate them properly in whats right and wrong (et cetera, et cetera). But the blame doesn't also fall on the consumer, as it also falls under a nations rating system. Sexual things in video games can raise the rating quickly from T to M17+ simply because of how the US views these kind of things.
All this ranting aside, video game developers have the power to make their game anyway they want, but they ultimately want people to play them too. If they put in necessary things to enhance the game, fine. It'll just probably get more people to play it. If they put unnecessary stuff, it could hinder the game in some ways, but to me it's about the amount of stuff that's put into video games.
1. Necessary + decent amount = Just fine.
2. Necessary + too much = Probably might be annoying, start feeling unnecessary, and hinders game play experience.
3. Unnecessary + decent amount = Okay.
4. Unnecessary + too much = Either the game could severely ruin the experience, or surprisingly, greatly enhance it.
I guess this is what I got so far. I'd keep writing, but I'm so damn tired. It's 1 AM for f**ks sake.

@AlexSays You said shouldn't be allowed to enjoy it, which implies somehow forcing someone else to comply by your morals. I don't see where anyone had said that someone shouldn't be allowed to enjoy something. Funny that you mention irony.

This is another good post
Afraid of sex? Don't buy a game with sexual themes. Don't like violence? Don't buy a violent game.
This is not a complicated concept. I have no problem with sexual themes, why should my entertainment adhere to someone else's moral code (often dictated by something I deem irrational) when those people could just ignore what I'm purchasing?
And who gets to decide what is 'too sexual' or 'too violent' when those definitions are different for absolutely everyone.. The whole idea is absolutely nuts.
While a lot of this stuff isn't needed for games, games like Mortal Kombat and Grand Theft Auto made their names with these tactics. I don't think every game needs these, of course, but games that are built around the over-the-top action/violence/gore/sex appeal are alright in my books.
Just to clarify, GTA should stay GTA. However, suddenly putting jiggle-physics in Zelda is a no-no as well as making a game with violence that has no point.
Side note: I'd totally like it if SSB4 has very subtle, slightly unnoticeable, jiggle-physics. After all, we can see Peach's panties . Just an opinion.

People say certain things shouldn't be in games
I can't enjoy things I already enjoy if they are taken out of games, as they would be if people got their wish
I'm not sure why you're having so much trouble with this

On the flipside, if all game designers decided they didn't want this stuff in games, would you not allow them to keep it out? Then you would be forcing them to do things. If you want to take both sides to the hypothetical extreme, they both involve forcing someone one way or another.

ie. why this whole morality thing is nonsense
Some people are turned off by things, other people don't mind or even like them.
Let the free market decide. If there are enough consumers interested in a product, more power to it. I don't care what sexual or violent themes it has, because I don't feel as if I should decide what others should be able to enjoy

You're kidding
Where did I say now that devs should be required to put these things in? Are we even reading the same posts of mine?
Let people make what they want, and others enjoy what they want. This isn't a difficult concept
Fox's father died = evil
Mario kills Goombas and Koopas = evil
Samus kills aliens = evil
Pikmin kill and are killed = evil
Pokemon fight and faint = evil
Smash Bros. has Zero Suit Samus and is fighting = evil
Animal Crossing has bels as currency, and animals cry if you don't talk to them = evil
Wii Fit lets you choose the sex of the manequin that teaches you exercise = evil
Wii Sports has a sword fighting and boxing game = evil
Excitebots compares animals to cars = evil
Tamagochi doesn't allow same sex marriage = evil
Style Savy Trendsetters has a BF mode, but not a GF mode = evil
Lego City has cops and robbers = evil
Luigi's Manson has ghosts and a dead dog = evil
Mario Kart has a bomb as an item = evil
Zelda has bloodless sword battles and bombs = evil
The list goes on...

All games, from rated EC (early childhood) to AO (adults only) have the right to exist. Parents should be aware of what their children are playing and have an active role in encouraging positive behavior and attitudes. Parents should also have the final say on what their kids are playing. If a parent says yes to an M rated game or no to a T rated game, that is their right and responsibility as a parent.
Is obscene content necessary? Maybe, maybe not. But there is an audience who find entertainment value in simulated violence, sexuality, etc. As long as there does, and as long as their habits in video games don't carry over into real life (hint: it never does), then nobody deserves to tell someone what they can and can't purchase with their own money (obviously excluding minors, where parents have final say).
So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.
