Best case scenario: they want to put less effort so it can make a profit easier and thus not abandon Wii U.
Worst case scenario: "WHAT? OUR INFERIOR VERSION OF THE GAME ON A SYSTEM FAR FEW PEOPLE OWN DIDN'T SELL AS WELL? IMPOSSIBLE?!111!1"
I think differently on the worst case scenario it would be more like "since our inferior version didn't sell let's make shovelware excluseves with the smallest production cost possible to flood WiiU's library with trash and dumb kids will still pay lots for it just because it has some random cartoon theme in it!!! mwahahhahahha!!!"
