For me, the Wii U has the best games on ANY platform since the GCN. To me, the Wii U is slowly overtaking the GCN as my favorite ever console.
How? Twilight Princess, The Wind Waker, Metroid Prime, Echoes, Jaysus, Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door! Not to mansion Luigi's Mansion and Tales of Symphonia. Nothing new on Wii U is anything like those games or even comes close to their tier.

Echoes was the worst of the bunch. I don't know what Jaysys is, and I didn't play Paper Mario. I didn't think Luigi's Mansion was all that great. Tales is and will always remain one of my favorite games of all time.
And GCN had ChibiRobo, Eternal Darkness, Baten Kaitos ... don't forget about those.
And I said the Wii U has the best library since the GCN, not a better one. And I also said that it is slowly taking over as my favorite console, not that it has already.

But I think it will eventually.
I can't remember every game, and you have to play Paper Mario TTYD. 'Jaysus' is the historical exclamatory version on 'Jesus' because that game is just that good!
And even though Prime 1 and Echoes are my least favorite Prime games they're still damn good.

Oh! LOL
I think Prime is the best, Corruption next and WAAAAAAY down the line is Echoes. But I still think they're good games. I've heard good things about Paper Mario, and I know it's not a traditional Mario game, but I don't like Mario or Mario games. At least not since Super Mario World for SNES. I haven't been a real fan of any Mario game since.

Do you like JRPGs? Paper Mario TTYD is a charming lighthearted-yet-emotional Mario JRPG (yes I know this sounds generic, but it's the only way to describe this game). It's like if Mario had a story that wasn't trash, but was instead really good. It has active turn based combat similar to, but distinct from the Mario & Luigi games.

I love JRPGs, tropes and all. In fact, it's not in spite of the tropes, but because of them, that I love JRPGs.
I also have to admit never playing Mario & Luigi games. Mostly because I avoid all things with the name "Mario" in the title (with the exception of "Kart") like the plague.
I'd play TTYD, but turn-based combat makes me sad.
But it's version of turn based combat it so much better than Pokemon and even Child of Light! You have to try it to understand. Paper Mario 64 and especially Sticker Star have the traditional turn based system, often to their detriment (the action commands on 64 were hard to find, I felt).
I definitely preferred Super Paper Mario's combat, but maybe I just don't like being interrupted in my gameplay for a battle.
Super Paper Mario was a great game, I liked it mostly for the story and exploration. The platforming was fine, but I preferred turn based combat as there was more to it in TTYD. Seamless transitions into battle would be nice, though.
3D World using gimmicks to mix things up is like putting spices on week old bread.
Nintendo at least tries to be creative. You just repeat your same argument over and over and over again...
That's because arguments don't need to be innovative, they just need to be right. Video games on the other hand, fail to fulfill their purpose the more they're repeated.
To put it this way: I absolutely adore Bravely Default for every major reason I've ever loved a game from the story to the music to the characters and even the voice acting. It's one of the best JRPGs I've ever played, but I'm sitting in Chapter 5, hanging my head in defeat because I just can not stand that combat system any longer. For as wonderful as the majority of the game is, it's such a shame that tedious gameplay kills it.
Now maybe TTYD doesn't have this problem. And I don't for a second believe that Papeer Mario should stick with SPM's combat for the sake of players like me when it's clear the fanbase preferred TTYD's combat system, though I imagine there's some debate. I'm really not keeping tabs on it. I also don't feel Sticker Star was the way to go, as even for turn-based combat, that felt painfully tedious. I'm just resigned to Paper Mario being one of those franchises I admire from a distance.

If you're arguing about art then you literally can't be 'right', you can only hope for a consensus with a number of people.

You took that comment way too setious for you to be anything but blind to the core idea that video games aren't objectively good. Theyre subjectively good. The not-so-subtle differences between Returns and Tropical Freeze and the utter worlds of difference between NSMB and 3D World that you'd definitely notice if you actually played the games you're criticizing may not seem like much to you, but to those of us that actually enjoy these games, the difference is day and night. Just like to me, Metroid Prime and Echoes look like similar or even the same game. Even if you explain what's changed, I probably won't be impressed because I've only played Prime and never did go play the others. (Which I'll more than happily do, when I have the money to get Prime Trilogy on my Wii U and nothing higher up on my backlog.)
My point is that you cam SAY you only see rehashes, but I'm playing these games you're calling rehashes, some of them back-to-back, and I can definitely feel a massive difference.
Now you want a rehash? Let's talk about Galaxy 2. THAT'S a rehash. Yoshi and new levels. A couple new power ups. That's all. Same goes for NSMB2, though I'd argue the Wii added multiplayer (and unintentional homebrew) and that's a very big change. U added a fifth player which is not as big a change, but still more than a rehash.
