One of my favorite series has been absent for a while. Just makes me wonder why? I'm cool with the onslaught Zelda and Mario games nonstop, but what about the other franchises? F zero is the perfect example. Was F zero GX a bad game or something? I know it was rather difficult is that reason why there hasn't been a new one? Or did the game just have bad sales. Now I know F zero is a hugely requested game for the Wii U, and I would totally like to see that happen? Just doesn't make sense why this game hasn't had a new entry in a while. In a way it's like Nintendo has forgotten about it, which saddens me deeply. I want the franchise to thrive no matter what system, it gets booted too. Even wipeout tried to copy the F zero formula but always came up short. What do you crazy nintendo fans think?

F Zero GX sold very poorly, so Nintendo probably doesn't want to bring it back. I would want to see F Zero on the Wii U though. Wouldn't mind if that's what Retro is working on, even though it probably isn't.

Nintendo hates us and likes making us suffer. x___x

Basically everything on the Gamecube sold poorly so that's no excuse.

I'm thinking it was Mario Kart's fault, lol. I mean, I barely remember GX. (played it though)
They should have it where Mario Kart is portable only, and have F-Zero be on the console. Wii U would be a great time to start Nintendo. >.>

Thats basically it at least thats what I believe, F Zero was really popular on the SNES but than Mario Kart came around and stole F Zero's thunder. All my friends that loved F Zero basically forgot about it once Mario Kart came out.

1080 snowboarding got the brush off this gen too, i was really hoping for a new entry on both as they are a great alternatives to mario kart.
tbh, i hope that nintendo bring an online version of F-Zero out on the wii u, that would be cool.

Captain Falcon makes a better fighter anyways.

a game so nice, I bought it twice.

Its one of my most favorites GC game, the game was hard as hell and I love every bit of it.
This is the only hardcore game that nintendo ever made and sadly the last.

There was i think 3 f-zero games for the GBA.

it would of been cool if they made a new one on the wii u or 3ds,and what about star fox the last game was on ds but it was complete bull and had no reason for exsistence so it would be good if they made a new non crap title on the wii u and 3ds

There hasn't been an F-Zero this generation, but there was one GameCube game and two GBA games last generation (which is a lot for one gen really). I think it's great that franchises are given a rest every so often as it means they don't get worn out and it's all the more sweet when a new game comes. The anticipation and hunger are much higher. If and when the next F-Zero arrives it will be "Wow, a new F-Zero game!" rather than "Oh, another bloody F-Zero game..." I wish more franchises were treated this way. Familiarity breeds contempt/absence makes the heart grow fonder, etc. There was no Metroid game during the N64 era, which gave Metroid Prime all the more impact.

Because F-Zero doesn't have Mario in it.

Eh, I never liked the series, and the game boy advance game we ambassadors got was the worst of the bunch (imo). So I wouldn't mind them killing the series for good.

From what I hear, they nerfed him badly for Brawl. So I guess Nintendo was just preparing us for the inevitable.

Though I doubt Nintendo would completely get rid of him. They like reusing characters.
