@Tsuchiya: No, Resident Evil. There series has deviated from its original roots as a survival horror game, and has become more submissive to the flow of action-orientated shooters.

I think he was agreeing with you and making fun of RE6's blatant display of selling out (can a video game sellout, because it just did).

Yes Sir, yes I was.

I've been more frightened watching Care Bears than the newer Resi's.

Resident Evil 1, 2, 3, Code Veronica, Zero and REmake had mixed reviews when they were released so that means I'm gonna enjoy this mofo.

I'm pretty sure RE1-3 including the remake were all scoring 8's and 9's. Zero was the black sheep generally getting nailed with 7's being the first major
dissapointment in the franchise as far as Gaming site reviews are concerned.....It seemed like at that point Zero just didn't do enough to push the series forward and ending up being a bit of a stale turkey. still, that stale turkey tasted better than the zombie doo doo that was Code Veronica which is typically devided amongst RE fans. Durp!

A 7/10 is now received as a mediocre score? ...Alright then.

To be quite honest, I think the perception of repetitive combat in Zombi U is subjective to the in-game approach of the player. I've watched quite a few Zombi U videos, where players each used their own respective tactics and strategies, and the best ones I've seen were able to adapt to flexible methods of combat in varying situations.

I really think Zombi U is a very... divisive game. There is no one dominant approach to it, much less in combat. It's better judged individually.

@19Robb92 probably best to skip alot of games then

Could be. All I really need to know myself though is that there's one weapon to use after you've run out of ammo, and that weapon is a slow solution for killing the enemies and not fun to use. Not to mention the repetitive grunts the characters shout every time you use it.

Not saying I wouldn't enjoy it. Cause I most definitely would if I bought it. It's just not worth the money to me.. Right now.

Nah, there's repetitive in a boring manner and repetitive and a good manner. I'm labeling this game under the former.

When it comes to a great Franchise(or was) such as Resident Evil, yes it is.
Maybe mediocre was the wrong choice of word, but a 7 is dissapointing for such an accomplished franchise that's been receiving grade A marks since the beginning.

yeah I don't like the "7 = mediocre" thing but there's a reason for it. There's no reason someone should normally want to buy a 7 quality game when so many 9 quality games exist. So if it's not a 9, you could get a game that is a 9, thus getting a better game. Especially since most people can only afford so much. However, I can use games like Fragile Ruins and Kirby Air Ride alone to destroy the logic of that, but there is logic to it.

Really it just depends on how interested in the game you are. I can't really say why the reviews are so mixed, but going by Metacritic, it does have quite a few good scores.

not everyone has the same taste and I for one will not go buy a game just because some one on a review site gave it a 9 I've play a whole bunch of lackluster 9 rated games before . I say read the review and find out what they like and didn't like about the game and then watch some game play of it or wait for a demo or umm idk rent the thing first

I do not agree with reviewers on several occasions. The first Epic Mickey was hammered on, and I understand what there issues were. However, I thought it was a great story. I love Disney in almost every form. Therefore, I didn't agree with there final score.

It is a lot like a movie. I will go watch a movie if I want to see it, and it usually doesn't matter at all what the critic thinks. Now, I use more caution on a game because I'm paying five times more, but if the story looks interesting and they just don't come out and tell me it's broken, I will usually play it. I may wait for a price drop, but I'll eventually get around to it. That would explain why my back log is so stinking big.
