I know it's just a cheap cash grab, but like the XBOX 360 had, I think the Wii U could do this and I actually wouldn't mind spending 5$ for clothing for my Mii. In XBOX 360, I dressed him in military clothing since I'm in the military. It's not important but would be a nice addition and I'm kind of surprised the Wii U doesn't have that.
I think it would be cool if there were two ways to get clothing
1. pay for it
2. you tap an amiibo on the game pad in the home menu and get a corresponding outfit ex: sonic amiibo gets me a sonic mii costume
The NX is going to be delayed to Holiday 2017 you heard it here first, also It should be pretty obvious what my favorite game of all time is cough Skyward Sword cough
I would like more styles of all sorts and more colors, then making some miis of characters that are harder to make right now might be a bit easier to make.
This proposal actually makes very little sense. Think about it, Mii characters are rarely seen in plain dress when used in-game. In Nintendo Land, Mii characters, if they appear in any particular game, such as Luigi's Ghost Mansion or Mario Chase, are depicted wearing some kind of goofy outfit. There are exceptions to the rule, as Miis in Wii Sports Club only appear in plain dress, but even if clothing DLC were to be implemented, games such as Wii Sports Club would not benefit anyway as the costume data has not been programmed into the game itself (and I doubt that Nintendo would retroactively update their entire Wii U back catalogue to accommodate such an unnecessary feature).
The only purpose that this DLC would serve is that Mii can appear in their designated outfit on the Wii U Home Menu screen and in Miiverse. Custom outfits are a possibility for future Nintendo consoles, sure, but it won't happen with the Wii U and 3DS. Perhaps Nintendo could recycle the outfit and hat data from StreetPass Plaza and implement those costumes into the next Nintendo system's Mii Maker software. Time will tell, I suppose.
"Gee, that's really persuasive. Do you have any actual points to make other than to essentially say 'me Tarzan, physical bad, digital good'?"
I remember reading that the reasoning behind it is that they want the game developers to have creative freedom when it comes to miis in their games. As in, they should get their own roles and clothes in the games themselves.
Making global clothing items for miis would only force developers to use those. Or as silly said, completely ignore them and diminish their value.
