As a kid, one of the best things about the Nintendo 64 in my opinion was the sheer amount of designs and the colour opinions available. Could a clear (or opaque) pink or purple sell the system and controllers better with young girls? Clear blue, orange or red with young boys?
only if it looks better than that photo.... it is horrible!!!!! maybe because clear white isn't pretty.... but that doesn't get close to N64's awesomeness!!!! if it really looks like this I'd rather have GameCube colors!

Yeah the optical drive in Wii U is basically Blu-Ray like, is grey, and is absolutely huge. For the most part you'll be looking at that and the system's cooling solutions in a clear system.

Not every guy (or girl for that matter) likes purple, or Atomic Purple as this was known as. It would definitely need more options than just that.

I'm not a big fan of the clear look, makes the console look too much like a toy rather than an expensive system that can't be easily replaced. I definitely would prefer some opaque colors however I would go absolutely Coo-Coo for Coca Puffs over a pink Wii U (clear or not).

I think pink and translucent colors are about on par for looking like toys besides, videogames consoles are just toys in the grand scheme of things.
After seeing the lack of colors with the Wii, I feel very doubtful about this
I loved the translucent consoles/handhelds! I replaced my original Wii's shell with a semi-opaque mirrored one and it looks pretty cool, I hope someone releases custom shells for the Wii U soon!
I want Gamecube purple! I love strong bright colors! maybe that's because I played too much kirby, only played the GameBoy one once and I must say it was the easiest one from what I remember.....
