I play Takumarus ninja castle with only the Game Pad

I'd rather play on the TV with the extra stuff like maps, objectives, etc. on the GamePad. I've used the Gamepad for Sonic Racing multiplayer, NSMBU, and COD, but only because I was trying the GamePad out when I first got it. TV all the way for me, unless I have to use the Gamepad only...

I've spent at least 90% of my time with the Wii U solely on the pad, probably more. Darksiders 2 works like a charm on it.
Nintendo should really capitilize this feature in their marketing for the system. It's a feature that anyone that lives with other people would find appealing. I now know that I'll play the games I want to play how I want to, rather than just beating them. I don't have to worry about sharing the TV with family members. I know I'm not the only one in that kind of position. Yeah, I'd like to use the TV, but when I can't use it, I can still play.

Same! I mainly use the GamePad, in the other room too hahah that's, of course, just when I'm playing alone. I play Scribblenauts and DK's Crash Course, along with Miiverse.

Imo this is one of the most underrated features of the wiiu. Having a family means not always having access to the tv. The ability to play games on the pad alone is a must for me, though it's often difficult to find out if a game has this feature. It should be more widly advertised, as it creates an incentive to buy games I normaly would have passed on.
I like the TV for the deeper games since the bigger visuals and all help to make it more immersive. If I'm in the middle of a game and want to catch a show though, I'll switch to the Gamepad until I come to a good stopping point(usually by playing a little during commercials). I'll probably use the gamepad more for games that aren't too enhanced by a TV. The visuals might be better, but I hardly think you'd get that deep of a feeling in something like say...NSMBU.
No, just no. Why would I waste my beautiful 59" plasma?
I fell the same way only mine is a 48 inch LED. The only time I look at the pad is when I am playing certain games on Nintendoland and you have to look at the pad. (The Yoshi game, firing arrows in the Zelda game etc.)

I end up using the Game Pad screen a lot since I use it when playing SaASRT. I can't say I prefer it to my TV, but it still works great.
I foresee what you'll do there.
