I would love to see a HD Remake of the first one on Wii U, or a Sequel to the second one. While we're on the topic, I would love a Remake of Sunshine or a sequel to it. What games would you like to see as a HD Remake or a sequel for the Wii U?
Gotta second Luigi's Mansion U. As for any other game, I'm having a hard time choosing between Kirby Air Ride, F-Zero, or Punch-Out. They're all just too good...
I'm betting Zelda is a test subject. If it does well expect a hd remake of Luigi's mansion and Super Mario Sunshine. If we ever get Cube vc it will be things like smash bro's, eternal darkness, mario party and vewtiful joe. I have to say I'm totally ok with this. It's the smart thing to do.
It's a great game, one I played just before the 3DS one, but I don't see how they would market it as a remake.. with Zelda there are no real "sequels". An HD remake for the first game when people are buying the 3DS game... not sure it will work out. It could actually hurt the Luigi Mansion 2 sales which are very high.
I really don't want to see more of these HD remakes. I'm sure most of us already have a Wii to play those Gamecube discs on, so it's not like they're hard to play, and I'd rather they concentrate their resources on making new games. Gamecube on Virtual Console? I'd be all for that though.
I think it's probably a bit too soon for a new Luigi's Mansion too, considering it hasn't been six months since the 3DS one came out.
I'd love a Luigi's Mansion sequel on Wii U. Especially if it managed to mix in both Possessors and Portrait Ghosts as bosses, improve the ScareScraper and add a co-op mode for the main adventure.
If they did make a Luigi's Mansion on Wii U (which I would love) I would hope that they would return to the original scary style, or maybe even scarier. I mean not many people own Wii U's so what have they got to lose? I don't know if it was just me but I hated the new "silly" ghost style in Darkmoon, great game though.
The ghosts in Dark Moon were no less scary than their Gamecube era equivalents. After all, compare 'em for a minute:
The normal ghosts of both games are equally cartoony and 'silly' to be honest.
The only thing Dark Moon did wrong was have less portrait ghosts, which should have been mini bosses in more missions (aka more than just the Three Sisters). And hell, while the Possessors were arguably slightly more 'abstract' in design, I'd say they were more creepy than the human ghosts in retrospect.
After all, what's more terrifying a concept? A human ghosts which has very limited attacks and mostly wants to be left in peace... or a ghost that can possess any living, dead or inanimate being/object, has nearly magical powers and is actively hostile? Heck, in theory, they could probably defeat any other monster from any other series, just by taking over the body of one of its equals (if the enemy was part of a species/group) and turning their own abilities back on their enemy. Even more so if we're talking the Tough Possessor (Treacherous Mansion boss), since it can control multiple 'bodies' at once. Seriously, as far as concept goes, these things would work surprisingly well in a horror movie or Steven Moffat penned Doctor Who episode.
This is a Ceiling Surprise, and you can't say you didn't jump when you first met one.
And then of course there's Bogmire, a somewhat eerie ghost who utilizes lightning to make his shadows live and attack you, plus, he teleports. I won't say I wasn't expecting something at the graveyard, the glowing gravestone was a dead giveaway, but he was rather intimidating the first time.

@Happy_Mask Believe it or not, when I was a little kid. Out of all the ghost in the game, those ghost gave me nightmares. They were also VERY annoying too!

To be honest, I didn't fear any of those. I did think Bogmire was awesome though, in both design and concept. Probably one of my favourite portrait ghosts even now.
But as I said, the only reason some think the original had 'better' designs is because of the portrait ghosts. The normal ghosts in each game are about as non scary as each other.

Well clearly you don't know anything about the Luigi's Mansion series. If you did, you'd know that the series ONLY works on portables as proven by that last game.
