I disagree again. If any game "needs" an announcement at E3 it would be something that's new rather than a new entry in a loved series. If anything the Mario Karts of the world need E3 the least because they are sleeper hits. No trailer and just putting it on the shelf will have those games hit the same multi-million sales figures.

So, are we 100% sure Retro's new game will be a new IP? It could be interesting if so, but I don't remember seeing proof one way or the other.
But I agree, it should definitely be shown at E3. After all, people love their games, they're always well received and always sell well, so I think Nintendo should take advantage of that as soon as possible.
all the games they announced during last month's nintendo direct. retro's new project, metroid would be a bonus, but i wouldn't hold my breath for that coming until say later this year or next year. also good third party games from developers who are developing stuff for the wii U.
