In all seriousness, I can't find anything confirming a Wii U release. Heck, I don't see anything saying it's coming to the PS4, though it will be on the new XBOX, looking at the main website.

There are a few retailers and sites confirming it but officially Activision has said that it is coming Xbox 360 and PS3 and other next-gen systems (whether that includes Wii U or not depends on Activision's definition of next-gen, but more likely than not I think it will be announced for the Wii U later alongside the PS4 version).

Eurogamer initially said it was announced for Wii U, but then removed it from the announcement article :s

I'm guessing if MS are showing off the next gen version at their reveal event on the 21st, then the rumours about them nabbing exclusivity for Respawn's game aren't true.

or they grabbed them both.

I can see Microsoft getting Respawn's new game as an exclusive but I cannot see the same happening with Call of Duty. Call of Duty is an established franchise that can do much better on multiple platforms then simply one platform alone. Activision tends to announce and release new Call of Duty games and DLC first on the Xbox platform after which they will announce it on others.

As of today, Activision confirmed the game on PS3, Xbox 360 & PC. Further info on the next gen console will be available on May 21. When asked about the Wii U, Activision made no further comments. It doesn't look like the game will be coming on the Wii U unless Activision considers Nintendo's latest game console as next gen.

The front page of this site would suggests otherwise.

We don’t have any news for the Wii U at this time, as we aren’t dating next generation platforms yet. Stay tuned.

Then there was also a website located at http://theghostsarereal.com, which showed a banner that displayed all the aforementioned platforms, but also included the Wii U. When asked about that site on Twitter, Activision stated that it was not the real site. One would leave it at that, but within an hour of that Twitter posting, the site was changed and now redirects to an Amazon page for pre-ordering the game. It's no confirmation, but it's seriously suspicious.

I have doubts about Activision & what it considers as next gen. Like EA, it never considered the Wii U as next gen. Its main goal in porting game is the high sale numbers. It doesn't consider Black Ops 2 a success on the Wii U that's why it didn't released any DLC for it.

Blops2 on the Wii U sold badly because of numerous factors, which I'm sure even Activision can admit to. The 70+ million install base of both the PS3 and 360 compared to the Wii U barely releasing at the time of the game's launch, also with the Wii U version coinciding with the hardware launch, being a week after the release of the game for other platforms. That could be one reason why they have no set date for the "next-gen" versions because they might end up with a repeat like they did here. Poor sales due to install base and release time of the hardware.

It's not the install base on current gen game console but the core gamer on the Wii U. Nintendo needs to get more hardcore gamers interested on its newest console. For hardcore gamers the Wii U is not an option. Hardcore gamers rather play the game on PS3 & Xbox 360. Going next gen & playing COD games, hardcore gamers would rather go with PS4, Nextbox or PC but not the Wii U. This needs to change if the Wii U wants hardcode gamers' acceptance.

Hardcore gamers won't go on Wii U to play Monster Hunter or Lego City. It will go on Wii U if it gets more of the hardcore game like Watch Dogs & Splinter Cell.

@Cheaptrick
I would consider myself a 'hardcore' gamer. I don't only play Nintendo consoles, and I bought COD BO 2 on Wii U expecting the DLC.
Disappointed to say the least.
They lost at least 4,000 DLC sales going off of the average amount of players playing that game online. With no DLC, the hardcore fans will leave the game to die.
Activision being stupid with their game on Wii U won't discourage the fans on future releases.

Hardcore gamers aren't the COD majority of players. It's the mainstream gamers.

I know loads of people who owns a Ps3/360 and the only games they have for it is COD- and sport titles. COD is a simple, fun, casual title. The problem with the WiiU is that most owners right now are Nintendo fans (since they're always the early adopters), from what I've experienced - most Nintendo fans have no interest in titles that aren't from Nintendo. Which is why COD, or most 3rd party titles, won't sell.

I'm mostly talking about the console versions, the PC version is the least best selling of the bunch I believe. It's understandable that competition is more fierce on PC since causals usually play on consoles for the simplicity.

I do see that here. People seems to rather talk about Mario & Luigi if not Monster Hunter & Lego City. For a 40 something y.o. gamer like me I have little to no desire in talking much more playing Mario or Luigi game nor Monster Hunter or Lego City.
