When you have the choice, try to support 3rd Party on Wii U, and try not to wait for the price to come down 3rd Parties rely on day 1 purchases more than Nintendo. If a fanbase is found on Wii U then 3rd Parties will come.

You have not heard of the glorious "rare downloads" program? Be enlightened, my friend.

I say the blame shapely goes on Nintendo, their fan base, AND 3rd parties themselves.
Look, provide me with games I wanna play without cheating me for buying on this platform. And Nintendo, STOP LETTING GAMES SKIP YOUR CONSOLES, I totally would of bought SCII HD for the online with Link too.
The fans every right to not buy games that don't interest them or have zero promises of being well optimized, but statements like:
"I don't care about 3rd party games anyway!" have got to stop. After all why support something when no one wants it?

Yes, Nintendo totally "lets" games not be released on their system. Maybe they should take the risk to pour money into a project that won't gain much attention anyway

The PS3 has sold 80 million compared to 6 million Wii Us (Wikipedia), which means that 3.666% of Wii U owners purchased it, compared to 6.25 PS3 owners purchasing it.

tell you the truth, put it in this way it's not a bad result, considering that when people purchased Batman on PS3 it was the cool new game everybody had to have, while when it was released on WiiU it was just another worthless old port.
This might prove that if the install base expands and they start releasing cool new games everybody has to have instead of old ports, they might even get 8 or 9 percent of owners purchasing their games. Granted, it's peanuts on a 6 million users, but if the console starts selling 30-40 million units, it's a big profit.

And there's only one way to expand the install base quickly and cheaply: PIRACY.
it worked for PS1, it worked for DS...it must work on WiiU too!!

PIRACY is the cryptonite of Nintendo... they will sell their mother before allowing something like that....

They don't even provide Wii or WiiU with a dvd player.... cmon be realistic, will never happen

I was just kidding on piracy, though it's commonly accepted now that while piracy prevents more games from being sold, it HELPS selling more consoles. A big part of Nintendo's profit comes from games, so it's understandable they are so against it, but companies like Sony just pretend they care (if it wasn't for piracy, Sony PSP would have sold only a dozen units). Anyway, the question is not how but when, since if it has a USB port it is going to be piratable (all previous gen systems were hacked as I understand).

But again, selling an old port to 3% of users is not a bad result. I mean, it is bad because WiiU sold so poorly, but if the console could reach an install base of 30 million users, then every game that sell within 3% is going to sell 1 million copies - not a number to be underestimated.
Now, I do not think the current generation is going to be like the last - you're not going to release any crap with the RESI logo on it and sell 10 million copies. Releasing on Sony/Microsoft it's not going to mean automatic money anymore for companies.
So my hopes is that WiiU can expand the install base and, if everything works out like it did for Batman (3%), companies will be interested in releasing for the system.

I understand many people saying they don't need 3rd parties as long as they have Nintendo exclusive and it's fair, but install base brings more 3rd party titles which bring more install base, which brings more money to Nintendo to release more first party games.
