I don't believe they have some game hidden in their vaults. Either it's a misspoken quote or a fabrication.

When a classification for "Rabbids Invasion" appeared on the Australian Classification Board website, I immediately assumed that this was perhaps the withheld game that Ubisoft were talking about, however, Rabbids Invasion has already been released for PS4, Microsoft's Red Ring and Bone boxes, which doesn't make an ounce of sense to me considering that the majority of Rabbids games have been exclusive to Nintendo hardware. You'd think that they would have at least made a Wii U version.

I dont wanna be hateful towards Ubisoft, but their games never appealed to me, so much that I dont give them any chance at all (never played assassins creed). Sometimes I thought about Rayman but my aversion towards their games must be very strong. They seem to be out on a quick cash in (most companies are IMO if they bring out the very same game each year just with a new setting). Not too mention the bugginess of their games especially on PC (so I have heard!) So I don't mind if they don't release any more games for nintendo consoles. On the other hand I understand it would be generally better for nintendo if they would continue releasing games.
You all are living in la la land if you think they really are just sitting on a game waiting for the user base to increase. It makes Zero sense to do this and what's this so called number they are waiting for the instal base to hit. Why not tell is what the game is.......because there is no game. They can say whatever they want and start on the game today and bring it out next year and say here's the game. Don't believe it for one second. I defended them for far to long and I do like their games but enough is enough. Too much wrong doing from them to even care at this point.

I agree with you! If they had already invested money in an exclusive game or even a port then they would bring it out as even some return would be better than no return at all. Besides the install base is almost as high as of the xbox one, 8 million is quite a lot IMHO
I highly doubt it's ZombiU 2. If there ever is a sequel to ZombiU, it'll come out on the PS4 and XBO.
I really don't care what their game is. Unless they can prove to me they're going to put actual effort in their games again, I'm going to stay away from modern Ubisoft.

It does seem like a strange thing for Yves Guillemot to say if they're not actually doing it. I wouldn't be surprised if they did cancel a completed game because the shipping and disc production costs were too high but they could still launch it digitally. Maybe 'sitting on' means 'releasing without finishing properly'.

It's not Rabbids Invasion. To my surprise, it has already been released on the other platforms (turns out that a Wii U version was never announced), and it would not be smart of Ubisoft to hold this particular game back as the bulk of their Rabbids audience would be likely to own Nintendo hardware (not that Ubisoft has been making any particularly smart decisions lately). My guess is that the withheld game is a Wii U exclusive, not a multi platform title.
I'm surprised that Ubisoft would be stupid enough to release Rabbids Invasion on the other current generation systems (with their low user bases), but not on Wii U, which actually has an audience for these sorts of games.
