Topic: Whats in the Wii U Super Mario 3D World Deluxe box? (No games in mine.)

I watched some videos on youtube and every single one I can find came with boxed copies of Super Mario and Nintendo Land.

I just bought one at Gamestop and there are no games inside? Did they switch to digital or am I being hosed?
This is a new system. The paperwork makes no mention of any digital content. The games are not in that slot, just the paperwork.

Sorry if this is explained somewhere, I can't find the info on the nintendo site whether they are digital or boxed, but like I said every video unboxing even the most recent ones have boxed copies inside. I searched here and didn't see anything either.
Thanks in advance guys.

I would contact the Gamestop where you picked up your system and tell them of your problem.

I should have paid attention, he mentioned that the games were digital but I just thought he was wrong as every box I have seen opened had the physical copies in it. I should have said as much but I didn't want to call him on that in front of a bunch of people.

Now I am worried, they were saying that just so I would think everything was fine. I am not taking this system out of the box until I resolve this. Either they are no longer including physical or the gamestop manager has stolen my copies and will say that I am lying about it. I am in a pretty bad mood right now. I am searching everywhere as I am truly hoping they went digital at this point. I rather physical, but in my current situation I am hoping its digital and nobody is trying to screw me.

EDIT: At my wits end. I am finding nothing. I am east cost so they were already closed when I opened my box. I was looking forward to a good night with my new console. Gonna try to sleep, but don't know how well that will work out given how I am feeling. I hate when something is unresolved, I can't turn off my mind.

There are now supposedly 2 different versions of the 3D World bundle, both being sold in stores. The version you have should say "Pre-Installed" on the box and have 9 items of contents on the side of the box. The other bundle version should have 10 items on the side, where the 10th item is the physical games.

Yeah, I guess they are pre installed. I found out this morning.
Was staring me right in the face on the front of the box. Here I was reading every bit of fine print I could find and the logo where it says you get them mentions that they are preinstalled in smaller letters right next to some words in another language. I guess when I looked at it my brain glossed over the words because it assumed they were in the other language.

I almost want to take it back and pick up one somewhere where I get the discs. I like having physical copies of my games. I collect/keep all my games.

So since they are pre installed, does that mean when I put my id on there I will be able to redownload it if something happens or if this thing croaks am I sol on the installed games?

I guess its cool that I won't have to put the disc in every time I want to play Mario.

Mario is one of these perfect games to have always available on your system, so I'd recommend to keep this one.

I think the bundle comes with codes for you to download them manually from the eshop (that's how my bundled copy of Nintendo Land was), in that case they'll be bound to your NNID, not the console. Which is good.

I'm not sure how really-preinstalled games work, since I have never had a console come with one.

My paperwork didn't have any codes. I won't have time to hook it up until tonight so I won't get to see how it all works.

All I did was pull the top tray out a little and saw no discs and looked through the paperwork to see if there was something that would let me download and there wasn't. So I slid it back in and closed the box because of the previously mentioned worries. I didn't want to set it all up to find out they weren't supposed to be digital and I got hosed and have to repackage everything.

In any event, I am happy that it wasn't what I was worrying about.
