If you say an HD game produces a similar experience to any other X-definition game, then why are you even be concerned about Nintendo not being able to produce an HD game that creates that specific experience? Either you're not making sense or you must mean something more/else when you talk about "HD Games".
Or probably a strange definition of Nintendo

"Don't stir the pot" is a nice way of saying "they're too dumb to reason with"
or better yet make a console for people that appreciate old school games that don't rely on multicore processors and 4-8k resolution then they can concentrate on pumping out 16-bit wonders at an alarming rate
@Mickeymac: Yes, you can turn autocorrect off — it's under 'General', then 'Keyboard' on an iPhone (and i'd assume an iPad as well). idk why you're asking, but jsyk you can have autocorrect off and still have the spellcheck function going. the normal spellcheck functions kinda like the spellcheck in a PC internet browser, it underlines questionable words and you can tap them to see suggestions for replacements :3

I'd actually be happy. I hate the Wii as a console and I don't like the look of Wii U, I think they're both too gimmicky/alternative and I'd rather play in the traditional fashion offered by Xbox and PS3. I'd also like to play online with my friends, who mostly own 360s, with the remaining few having PS3s. Unfortunately for me, I absolutely love Nintendo's games, so I stuck with the Wii and I'll be buying a Wii U at launch, dumb gyroscopic tablet controller et al. I didn't even like the DS because of the touch screen, but I bought one anyway for Nintendo's games. I don't like innovation, gaming had progressed too far for me by the mid-90s and everything since has just been making it worse (excluding online play). Nintendo are the main offenders.

TL;DR version: I would be very happy.

Spellcheck's fine/ Autocorrect, though? Just plane dumb. It always changes to the wierdest things.
Nintendo is not the main offender. If I could be a Terminator from the future I would definitely go back and destroy Id software for creating the FPS monster and releasing the ugly beast unto this world

Um, Wii U Pro Controller?
I'll be using it at every opportunity, just as I avoid motion controls at every opportunity with the Wii, but I'm quite sure that a lot of games that I'd like to play will require the tablet just as many Wii games unnecessarily enforced motion controls without offering an alternative scheme (off the top of my head, Prince of Persia, Deadly Creatures and Zelda could all have quite easily included a button-based combat system). Not to mention the fact that the Wii U would probably be a lot cheaper without the tablet.
If Nintendo dies, I will go to Xbox. No offense to the Sony fans, but I had my whole childhood dedicated to Sony (PS1 and PS2). I will have gone through two Nintendo systems as well by then (Wii and WiiU). Personally though, I think that the only thing that would happen is Nintendo drop out of the HOME CONSOLE race and go to perfecting the HANDHELD CONSOLES. The GB, GBC, GBA, DS, and 3DS were all smash hits! If Nintendo perfected this (which they already have...) then I would only buy Nintendo handhelds forever.
But Nintendo won't fail. They will be around long enough for my children to enjoy the newest iteration of the Zelda and Mario franchises in 2042.
I own a PS1, GBA, GBA SP, Wii (GCN), 360, 3DS, PC (Laptop), Wii U, and PS4.
I used to own a GBC, PS2, and DS Lite
There's a huge problem with your explanation: The Wii U did not come after a console that bombed in the market (Dreamcast came after the Saturn).
The Wii might have started off successful, but it's latter years wasn't exactly full of rainbows and roses if you know what I mean.
I know what you mean, but as everyone can see, the Wii was still alive even though all non-Nintendo fans deemed the system dead because it didn't get a port of Skyrim.

I used to be against the Wii Motion Controls, too. But then I got Resident Evil 4 and everything changed...

Exactly what I was thinking.

If Nintendo became a third party developer I'd just buy whatever consoles their games were published for. That's what Sega fans did when their favorite company dropped out of the hardware race, right?
