Super Mario World. Still my favourite Mario game of all time.
My game library ranges from Mario Kart to Call of Duty to Tales of Xillia to Diablo 3 to Forza. To me gaming is about having fun - not blindly supporting only one company while thumbing your nose at "the evil other systems."
Duck Hunt and Super Mario Bros. for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1990.
I'm totally stoked to see that PETA has given their personal endorsement of the Duck Hunt IP on their webpage. Who would've thought lounge-room couches could be used as tactical cover for popping off a few rounds at hapless water fowl?
Actually, I take it back.. I had a whole bunch of those Game & Watch handhelds that i'm certain I was playin around '88/'89...Octopus, Fire, Donkey Kong jr., Popeye, Super Mario Bros. and god knows what else. God i'm old
Wow that's tough. One of the first games I've played was Donkey Kong. But then I have the feeling that I played Super Mario Bros first as well.....Can't remember exactly what first Nintendo game I've played but I'm pretty sure its either these two!
I can't really remember. My godsister had an N64 and I think we played Banjo Kazooie/Tooie, so that's probably the first, but...my memory of early childhood is hazy.
I distinctly remember finding a bunch of NES games in my closet when I was about 6 or 7, so there's a chance Super Mario Bros. 3 was one of my first Nintendo experiences.
Also, my cousins had an N64 and we played Mario Party and Mario Kart all the time, so those come close...
The first Nintendo console I ever owned was a GameBoy Color. The first Nintendo game (not counting the hidden NES titles) I owned was Pokemon Gold.
I own a PS1, GBA, GBA SP, Wii (GCN), 360, 3DS, PC (Laptop), Wii U, and PS4.
I used to own a GBC, PS2, and DS Lite
Probably Donkey Kong Jr on one of those old table top arcade machines they used to have in pubs when I was a wee boy. Must have been over 30 years ago (pre NES days).
I'm pretty sure it was an early SNES game. Maybe Super Mario World?
Formally called brewsky before becoming the lovable, adorable Yoshi.
Now playing:
Final Fantasy XIV (PC) | The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (Switch) | Celeste (Switch)
"I'll take a potato chip... AND EAT IT!"
Light Yagami, Death Note
"Ah, the Breakfast Club soundtrack! I can't wait 'til I'm old enough to feel ways about stuff!"
Phillip J. Fry, Futurama
Super Mario Bros. for NES in 1990. For Christmas my sister and I got the bundle with SMB/Duck Hunt and the Light Gun (no R.O.B. tho which I didn't even know existed until years later).
Can't really know for certain since early childhood memories are fuzzy at best, but I do remember playing Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt and Super Mario Bros. 3 on my babysitter's NES when I was in maybe kindergarten or first grade. Would have been about 1993. If there was one earlier than that, I don't know of it.
