It wasn't even shown at E3.
And apparently it's on schedule.

But if the game were cancelled, it would technically still be on schedule.

Currently Playing: Steamworld Heist, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, Tales of Graces F

But seriously, the game has been announced for a year and a half and still no gameplay!
I think they announced the game waayyy too early.

Probably. If it's supposedly on schedule, the best we can assume is just that it's not ready to be shown at E3. Likely there could have been some delays once Index, and so Atlus by extension, was bought by Sega, but who knows really. All we know is that they haven't forgotten about it and we'll have to be patient.

I'm guessing that January 2013 is when development actually seriously got underway. All they had to show in that direct was a quick slideshow of pre-existing character art.

Both Atlus and IS are mid-sized studios with several projects in development though. IS is even developing a brand new IP. They're probably both pretty busy.

So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.

I'm hoping this game comes out, and is just Fire Emblem, with SMT characters added...more, and more, I want to see another beautiful console Fire Emblem game, like Radiant Dawn was on the Wii. I just want Fire Emblem...don't want a SMT style game at this point. It's been so long between the console versions, I'm getting in a rotten mood.
