Because I feel very satisfied and fufilling watching fanboys crying. Let it be Nintendo, Sony or Microsoft fanboys. Their cries are always delicious.

Lol. What I find funny is how they're mad at Nintendo for funding it when they should be mad that Sony, MS, SEGA, whatever big publisher for not having the guts to fund it.

Anyways, this was mentioned already but Platinum's games aren't on a super high budget so Bayo 2 doesn't need to sell 3+ million copies in order to be profitable. This isn't like Dead Space 3 where it need to sell 5 million copies for them to continue the series. lol

I guess that review wise it will do fine. It only has one version so there won't be complaints of a bad conversion as in the first one. And reviewers should not have control problems like they had with W101.

The game is also M rated and has a bunch of Nintendo related costumes (the first one, I know, but both games come in the same package and maybe Bayo 2 also has them or something similar) so that could help too. It even has online multiplayer, for crying out loud! As with MK8, it is a 2 games in 1 and thus a great value.

I just know I am getting this Day 1 as I proudly did with W101.

I will comment in this thread, never being able to find it again.

Ok, poll time, everyone. You got three choices.

1. You are interested in Bayonetta 2 now, but wasn't interested in Wonderful 101 up to and including launch.
2. You are not interested in Bayonetta 2 now, but was interested in Wonderful 101 up to and including launch.

#1 for me.

#1 indeed for me. The game will easily sell 5 million copies

I'm not sure it's a great idea to release this around the same time as Hyrule Warriors. They're both Hack'n'Slash, and HW is bolstered by the greater name recognition of The Legend of Zelda. Nintendo baffles me: why does it let the console go for months without a new high-profile release, and then release a flurry of new software all at once?

Because that actually drives sales. Momentum. Buy 2 get third 50% off etc. People go to buy new games they'll pick up a bunch.

I can see the game just breaking even over the course of the remainder of the Wii U's lifetime. The original was a very niche game to begin with and it was on both PS3 and 360. It's going on to Wii U with an even smaller audience. I think Nintendo and Platinum realize this as well, so their sales goals are probably quite realistic.

I have it on preorder on Amazon, so I'm definitely getting it. I'm excited. Like Hyrule Warriors, Bayo 2 is something a little different for a Nintendo platform, and I want to support that.

Do they? If it's 2nd hand games I can see that but for new releases not really as they are at full price.

I'm on the fence with this game... not because it doesn't look excellent, which it DOES, I'm just a bit burnt out on hectic arcade-y action games at the moment. Bayonetta 2 will be getting my money before Hyrule Warriors does though, whatever that's worth...

I recommend getting this from my experience with the demo it really is excellent.

I don't think Nintendo is aiming to profit from this game (not by itself anyway). They are trying to diversify the Wii U's game line up to make it appealing to gamers.

I will buy Bayonetta 2 in a bargain bin a few years down the line. Maybe.

You brute! What kind of a way is that to treat a lady? You should pick her up new at a nice candle lit best buy.

What I don't get is gamers these days. Console exclusives are supposed to logically push sales...yet gamers treat exclusives like the end of the freaking world. Case in point: the reaction to Bayonetta 2. Maybe the industry should die....

@WaLzgi Nah. Don't sink the whole ship because of some idiots. People should just work harder and get more than 1 consoles instead of sitting on their chair bitc*ing about stuff.

@Jazzer94 There's a demo for BAYO 2? WHERE? Don't lie to me bro, it's cruel.

@Jazzer94 What?! Oh dang bro you just escalated my jealousy to hatred now!

Jokes aside, how did Bayo 2 felt? From the trailers it seems too hectic and too "button mashy" to me. I'm holding my judgement until I play the game though. I was really hoping the game would play more or so like devil may cry. Fast paced and lots of action but you actually have to plan out your button pressing and not just plain mashing.

Bayonetta 2 has been ridiculously hyped for such a niche Nintendo game so I reckon it will sell pretty well. It also has Nintendo costumes which always seems to help!

To actually make their money back they need to advertise to the kinds of young men that will see boobs with violence and need to buy the game.

As for people saying it looks like a 'button masher'. I doubt the original would have got a 90 on Metacritic if it was that shallow but then again, gaming journalism has become a weird clique full of plagiarism and very few original reviews.
