Topic: What is Retro Studios REALLY up to?

Let Platinum Games have a shot at Starfox. Grezzo should be working on Majora's Mask 3D. Next Level Games (the guys behind Luigi's Mansion) should be working on a Kid Icarus game for Wii U.
And Retro Studios?
They should be working on Metroid.
And Miyamoto?
Hopefully the Super Mario 3D World team is helping him with his new IP.

I always assume Treasure would be a great developer for KI.

Fine. Being having a low-appearance around here lately.

I'm going to assume that Retro is making a Metroid game at the moment..... It can't be F-Zero because inorder for that to work, they need to convince Nintendo for that. It can't be Starfox because Nintendo may not like the idea of it. It has to be Metroid.

It would be cool if Retro Studios made a spiritual successor to the Goldeneye / Perfect Dark games on n64.

Whatever it is I'm thinking we might see it at E3. Hoping for a new one IP or something like startropics.

Didn't Nintendo said they wouldn't mind Retro helping out on the Wii U's Zelda?

Mario Kart 7 also wasn't a Retro Studios project. They helped out with it, most likely since the 3DS needed titles out ASAP, but it is definitely not counted as a Retro Studios game.

As far as I know Retro was working with MK7 mainly with the DK track and the retro tracks.

I think Platinum would be beter at F-Zero and Retro would be better for Star Fox, that said I have no problem for developers to get out of their comfort zone and wouldn't mind seeing it reversedor something ddifferent all together lol

this would require Platinum to make a game that isn't an over-the-top action title, so I doubt it unless F-Zero's gonna go in a weird direction

As much as i'd like a Star Fox or F-Zero reboot, I really wish Retro was making a new IP.

Would be funny if they made a game called Retro Party, a mini-game collection not based on anything that still exists. Maybe retro, as in the theme is 70's and 80's or even 90's style of things.

It would be a new IP, but nobody would ever claim it so. Then the real hate would begin, and everybody said they should have revived something rather than do this.

I don't know Platinum games are really zany not sure if they can tone that down enough to make a proper F-Zero or Star Fox game.

If it's only been worked on since November we'd get early alpha gameplay at best.

I think they could pull off a Star Fox game, but it would be really different, and Star Fox fans hate change.
