Two things. Club Nintendo as you describe it doesn't work like that in most countries outside of the usa. Most of us still use the star/point system winthout any gold or platinum status. It might be something you guys are used to but for many countries it would be a great overhaul of Nintendo's platform something which takes a lot of manpower.
And paying 50$ for online? I think that's even more expensive then on the xbox besides now we get the same for free so I'm espcially intrigeted by the Stable part
Well PS Plus is also $50. And the Wii U servers aren't as stable as they should be.

Nah, we love our paperweights! Just as much as orange soda.

you know these people dont finish their games, these days most gamers are posers.
that goes for the youtube retro gaming community/celebrities as well. whenever they attempt to play a game they never seem to be able to pull off the common moves that everyone else has known about for 15 plus years. i wonder why that is...
i notice you and me always beat games on a regular basis and we dont participate in the philosophy threads.
i think were too busy playing games.

As @ogo79 said, the SNS-RZ-USA is a prime giveaway that it's not a legit retail cart.
And yes, he is (usually) always right, and he is (almost) the sexiest gamer out there (not counting me) ;)

i am more interested in the next nintendo handheld. i dont think i will buy a new console in the next years. i dont even have a proper tv for a console
Okay so I don't have much to say specs wise but I am going to say that I'm not going to pay a subscription just so I can play VC games, especially when I can buy them more permanent and the same goes for the add on. If they don't do BC okay but not this middle ground in which I have to buy a €100 add on too play my old games. It's BC or none at all, not some cash grab
It's not a cash grab. It's a reality. If they do X86, they can't do physical BC unless they include a second processor, at which point the system is too expensive to succeed. The add-on is a compromise, allowing people who want BC to get it but not forcing it on people who don't want it.
The subscription service is an option. It's not the only thing there, and there is a clear benefit to it. Instead of having to buy every game you want to try, you can pay the 5 dollar subscription, and play whatever you want for however long.
If they go the X86 way (whuch I din't see happening) than they should drop BC, the add on will only make it look bad as it will comfuse people and look like a cash grab. You also seem to forget how you'd attatch the thing, usb cables aren't going to cut it but you also don't want to have dedicated ports on your new system cause then people will feel like they aren't getting everything they paid for. An add on as middle ground theoraticlly doesn't sound bad but practically it just wouldn't work.
The thing with the subscription is that you want me to pay 5 bucks a month/year(?) just so I have access to an abundance of games I'll never play/try till the service ends when I can pay the same amount for a game I'm sure to enjoy and have on my console for ever more. You get that these things collide with each other, trying to please everyone doesn't allways go well as we have seen with the WiiU.
Oh I see what you're saying about the BC.
Well, you can't necessarily know you'll enjoy a game. I though I'd enjoy Weapon Shop De Omasse, but I thought it was boring. I thought I'd really enjoy Super Mario Bros. 3, but I really didn't like it that much. Having a Netflix-like service gives you plenty of options to either try, or play through as long as you have the subscription.
I don't think the Wii U tries to please everyone at all. If it did, we'd see the Gamepad as an optional controller, not bundled into every SKU.
Currently Playing: Steamworld Heist, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, Tales of Graces F
Well, IDK much about specs so I'll leave that blank, but here goes:
-Extensive cross platform features such as crossbuy and crossplay to the point where any game that doesn't have some kind of console specific game mechanic can be played on a handheld.
-Virtual reality.
-At least 64-128 GB hard drive.
-Cloud based storage on your NNID (would have to pay a fee for this of course).
-Can work with any controller setup from the last few generations including Wii Remote and Nunchuck, Gamepad, and Pro Controller.
-Handheld can also work as a controller for the console.
-Backwards compatible with Wii U (and 3DS through the handheld)
-VC: Any console up to 7th gen: NES, SNES, GB, N64, GBC, GBA, GC, DS, Wii
Probably not happening, but it's not like a dream console is ever realistic.
the nintendo 4ts-Reality U! it will be the best thing the world has ever seen! the 4ts Reality U will be the worlds first ever 4 dimmensional triple screen virtual reality home console system! you are the controller! ... dont question how it works! ... im to lazy to make that up right now =w= (might try to come up with something more serious at some point)
And the Wii U servers aren't as stable as they should be.
Do you have any actual numbers to share on this, or are you just connecting your Wii U without a LAN cable or with an old router and assume that it's always a fault at the server side?
