Nope. That would probably detract sales away from the 3DS, and developers would just make Wii U games instead, with more power and better visuals (1080p).

If it happened, though, I'd expect it to cost around $79.99, around $20 more than the original Super Game Boy.

They'd be stupid NOT to. Maybe not 3DS games, but DS games. Nintendo could do some of thier resolution-y type magic, and remaster some DS games. I'd love to see Super Mario 64 DS Remastered for the Wii U.

They'd be kind of... pixelated. At least it would be better than the DS. Imagine playing Mario Kart DS on a tv...

It is going to happen. The Wii U controller was designed to have everything that the DS/3DS has on the bottom part of the system. I'm not sure if they will allow us to plug in actual DS/3DS carts though, they may use this opportunity to make us buy all the games once again as downloadables.

It will be better than you think, I've seen DS and 3DS games on a HDTV, they look fine, heck, my Gameboy Advance games look okay on my Gamecube's Gameboy Player.

I think (So as not to hurt the sales of the 3DS) you should have to have a 3DS linked with it (Like when you link your DS to the Wii) and you have to have the game inserted into the 3DS.

Nah. I have my 3DS for my 3DS games, and I'll have the Wii U for bigger console experiences. Now if it were a Vita setup — the ability to transfer console to handheld — then I'd be all in.

Wouldn't there be a mental discontent comapred to playing them on a 3ds.

I'm pretty happy with the idea of revisiting DS and 3DS game ideas on the Wii U but I'm not really happy about the idea of DS or 3DS ports or "Super Gameboy" type things. Give me a Rhythm Heaven, Elite Beat Agents or Professor Layton using the touch screen in the same way they did on the DS... but don't give me ports.

Quite the opposite actually. Look at the dolphin emulator screenshots of HD Mario Galaxy and tell me that the HUD is the bit that made the transition better. You can clean up those 3D models (especially if you don't mind muddy textures) but you can't do much with a sprite. Just saying.

Now how badly N64/PS era 3D games have held up compared to SNES or even NES era 2D games? That's a different story! We weren't talking about that though we were talking about 3DS games on the Wii U

Even as someone who thinks the idea of playing PS3 games on Vita is kinda overrated, that is far more interesting then playing handheld games on a console so you can't take them anywhere now. But I kinda liked GBA Player or whatever that was...

also, only way we would ever get good LPs of 3DS titles so that's good.
