Topic: What if there was a Gamecube style controller that functions as a Wiimote and Nunchuck

I've always wanted a controller that is like the Gamecube Controller in a traditional sense but has motion sensors in it and a pointer and has a custom button input function so you could play games like Mario galaxy but don't have to hold two different controllers at the same time. They could use the right stick to function as the pointer. And for games that need a certain swing to do stuff like in skyward sword can be mapped on the buttons or right stick so you don't have to waggle a remote all the time.I would make it myself if I had the skills and funding and tools but I haven't got either of those things.Of course a few extra buttons would be added to work with the Wii like the Home button.Maybe I'll work on a design of the layout of the controller I have in mind.I think I recall watching a guy playing skyward sword with an XBOX 360 controller and was able to swing link's sword with either the buttons or sticks.I've seen a controller which works as a Wiimote but has a Wii U pro controller layout but that's not what I'm looking for.

yeah just imagine. you can swing the gamecube controller by its wires for the nunchuck

And yes, he is (usually) always right, and he is (almost) the sexiest gamer out there (not counting me) ;)

You mean a Dualshock 4 with a GCN button layout?

For the record, I've heard the 360 controller mod for SS didn't work well. You just can't put in an input fast enough with a resistive control stick. In fact, the right analog stick is in general not a good pointer, it tends to be slow and cumbersome.

And I've heard most people praise the split design of the Wii remote, allowing them to rest both arms seperately.

Currently Playing: Steamworld Heist, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, Tales of Graces F

I do like the Wiimote and Nunchuck combination but I thought if someone could make a controller that you don't have to swing but instead press a button to do an action it would be a good thing to have. Some people are really sarcastic on these forums,If you haven't got anything nice to say then keep it to yourself. It would need to be a wireless controller. If a stick wouldn't be good for pointing then we could stick the pointer where the wire hole is usually on top.

Actually maybe it'd be better to have a grip in the shape of a Gamecube controller and just use the 3DS/3DS XL buttons.

Its good to ponder all the different ideas Nintendo could do I have loved everything they have ever done controller wise and really think there next console will be the best yet maybe this will be something they do or maybe not its impossible to know maybe it will be there next classic control next gen so that games from the motion control era can still be enjoyed
