I'm going to go ahead and delude myself into thinking that's real and Nintendo was somehow too stupid to show it at the conference instead of crying over the fact that it's not real.
a wii u version would have no advantage over the 3DS other than the big screen. graphics mean nothing since the game has to remain faithful to the original art style; they would have to create a new look from scratch to fully take advantage of the wii u's power, and then it wouldn't be majora's mask anymore.
the 3DS has more than enough power to pull off the original art style. it really does look like the original concept art came to life:
no matter how much more powerful it is, the wii u couldn't get much closer to the intended style than that. besides, a 3DS remake would already look far better than ocarina of time 3d did. on top of the usual progress developers make during a console's lifespan, nintendo figured out how to create better 3D while using up less cpu power over the past year. it'd look a lot better even if they made it right now, but it'll probably be another year or two down the road. it'll look even better by then.
not to mention the 3D. unlike ocarina of time, it would actually be a real asset to the gameplay beyond just looking nice. it'd make floating onto platforms as the scrub and swimming through rings as the zora easier. i'd really like to see places like the observatory and prairie inside the moon in 3D; if i were playing this on wii u, i really would wonder what i was missing without the 3D effect.
then you have the fact that it'd be a billion dollars cheaper to do it on 3DS since all the groundwork was done by ocarina of time 3D. that alone pretty much guarantees that if it happens at all, it'll be on the 3DS.

No. See, I'm interested in Zelda, never having played it, but all these threads about Majora's Mask willy-nilly on the 3DS or Wii U when we don't even have the slightest hint of either are terribly unfascinating.

I clearly said that the multiple threads on it with no solid news were unfascinating, not the concept of a Majora's Mask remake itself. And to clear things up, my first post on this was clearly not meant to be a serious one, so I really have no idea why you're lunging at me on it. It seems here that comprehension is the hardest thing for some to understand.

Comprehension on a gaming forum is pointless.
But your avoiding my point. People can talk about it however they like whether there's news or not. Who are you to say their discussions are irrelevant or, better yet, unsatisfying?

I would love to see a remake of Majora's Mask, to be honest. But I'd rather have it on 3DS than the Wii U. 1) I already own a 3DS and 2) Ocarina of Time 3D is already on the 3DS so why not just add to that? Most people who enjoyed Ocarina of Time 3D want this one as soon as possible.
I would also like to see a remake of Majora's Mask, but on the 3DS for all the above reasons Chrono_Cross stated. HD would be cool, but I don't own an HD TV and I won't have a Wii U for a while, so that makes the shiny HD factor a little pointless for me.
Also, if they're gonna remake Majora's Mask, I'd like a little more fresh and new content injected into the title rather than what they did with OOT3D, which was basically give it a face lift, include Master Quest and boss rush modes. I'd like to see a whole new bunch of new sidequests and possibly even new masks in a Majora remake.

Common sense is irrelevant on an online forum. Never did I say that this topic is irrelevant or unsatisfying, I was stating a personal opinion on these many strings of topics on the same thing. You didn't have to acknowledge it if you didn't want to. I suggest we drop this now, and avoid disrupting the topic further - you're taking what I'm saying and turning it out to be more than was intended.
On topic, if we were to see a Majora's Mask remake, I think I'd prefer to see it on the Wii U, hopefully with a bit of new content, as to avoid the situation with OoT3D.
