I'll hope for:
Some Zelda U info.
Release dates for Bayonetta 2, 'X', SMT x FE,
New 1st party Wii U game announcements (preferebly something like Star Fox, Metroid, F-Zero etc).
More 3rd party Wii U collaborations.
More GameCube remakes (like Luigi's Mansion, F-Zero GX etc).

Expecting:
-Something Zelda U related is a lock, most likely a short(30 seconds at most) trailer.
-More Smash Bros info - more characters, any additional modes, and a release date
-Bayo2 release date and another X trailer(maybe some actual details on story, maybe a name)
-Sonic Boom - more info and release date
-Yarn Yoshi - more info, probably late 2014 release
-SM x FE - more info, probably spring 2015 release
-something NFC related - 2015 game
-Wii Sports Club retail announced
-update on any incoming system updates - if there is a big one coming up.
-update on incoming eShop games(indie and VC)
-MK8 bundle announced, likely some other bundles announced

I think we are seeing just how much Nintendo was going to rely on 3rd parties the first 2 years, as they were going to need time to get used to the jump to HD.

Not expecting: New IPs, revival of old IPs, new 2014 game announcements, update on a potential smart phone app, announcement of new systems(N64, GC, DC, etc) added to the VC lineup, more info on progress of unified account system, or any new licensing, collaboration, or acquisition. If any of these happen I will be pleasantly surprised but definitely not expecting anything like that.

Sticking with new announcements:

  • A new F-Zero is undoubtedly top of my list (I'm a patient man Nintendo, but GX was over 10 years ago, and I lied about being a patient man...).
  • A new Star Fox that's essentially the gameplay of Star Fox 64 but over a significantly longer campaign (I can but dream).
  • A new Kid Icarus for Wii U (2 thumbsticks for all!)
  • An announcement of Retro's next game (no footage, etc this early on obviously, but I'd like to know what it is).
  • Another Platinum title (unlikely at this stage, but do try and keep the Wii U's only other developer happy Nintendo).

Um what? Rare is owned by microsoft now.

I just want Nintendo to announce release dates, show off incredible trailers, and have a surprise for those of us watching at home (you know, a big "red carpet" demonstration of an epic game and then saying it will be in stores next week, but available on the eShop...right now).

I own a PS1, GBA, GBA SP, Wii (GCN), 360, 3DS, PC (Laptop), Wii U, and PS4.
I used to own a GBC, PS2, and DS Lite

I'm on YouTube.

I promise to not derail threads. Request from theblackdragon

Except unlike Rare, Retro's not going anywhere

Actually, I'd say E3 2011 is the best one Nintendo has ever had.

really?

Another vote for 2010. The Goldeneye reveal trailer (and the subsequent crowd reaction) was pretty awesome.

What I want, if we're going to talk about the best Nintendo E3s, is that whatever your opinion of the final game, if Nintendo can close the show this year like they did with the Twilight Princess reveal, we'll all be happy.

One of the best E3 crowd reactions ever, it still gives me chills!

The chances of getting anything about Zelda U is slim. Hyrule Warriors is pretty much a filler title. I wouldn't expect to get Zelda U until mid to late 2015 at the earlier (depending on when Hyrule is released!).

Personally, I want:

Animal Crossing U - this would be a pretty big system seller, especially after the success of New Leaf.
Pokémon - Anything, really! Again, Pokémon will shift some systems, whilst pleasing us Pokemon fans. I'm hoping ofr a Snap 2, but for some reason I doubt it's gonna happen.
GameCube eShop
Faster eShop titles - this could be a big selling feature of the U. Release more titles and FASTER. Giving 1 or 2 a month is not helping anything - us nor Nintendo.
NO new Mario (or related character titles!) announced. I LOVE Mario, but GOD am I getting sick of them! They need to be focusing on other titles and make Mario more of a novelty. By making 100million Mario titles a year, they are damaging the franchise and taking the novelty away. Short term, it will help Nintendo cash wise, long term it's probably doing more damage than good. 1 a year is MORE than enough.

I would want:
Super Mario Galaxy 3 on WIi U
Animal Crossing U on Wii U
Gamecube on Wii U VC
Majoras Mask HD for Wii U
Info on Zelda Wii U
Remakes of Ruby/Saphire/Emerald either on 3DS or Wii U (PLEASE WII U)
I'd cry if even 1 of these happen

Why wait for a 2D Metroid that might never happen... I will buy me some ReVeN instead

I grew up with A Link To The Past and if people asked me if Nintendo would ever make a sequel to it, i would say : This would be to good to happen

The same thing i would say about remakes of ocarina of time and majora ....so , i dont know what to expect from then anymore. If tomorows news is that Nintendo bought capcom ...then i would just say to myself : i hope konami is next

I wish E3 would let gamers attend the audience like they used to. We need some actual excitement from the crowds for once, rather than a bunch of journalists typing away on their Laptops.

Gamers should only be allowed on the show floor. While I remember Zelda reveal was quite awesome, but at the end of the day these are press events and with the exception of clapping no whooping and hollering. Its not really a consumer or developer venue.

That's a very good list, although I doubt Metroid Prime would be a spring release and I somewhat doubt Zelda will be released in time for Christmas. The thing that I actually came in to this thread to say though was Battalion Wars 3. Simply because I think it has the potential to be an amazing online game. It could be Nintendo's Battlefield. They need to jump on that.
