Is anyone else wondering what happens when the Wii U Launch Window is finished? Not too many games have been announced. And a whole ton less are exclusive to Wii U. Does anyone else find that strange?
Nintendo has NFC and dual Gamepad support features, but no games/applications announced yet that will use these.
Do you think Nintendo has no ideas what to do next, or do you think you can predict their secrets. Add all your thoughts in this thread.
Nintendo has been taking their time with the Wii U. Taking steps. They don't let you know what the steps are down the line until shortly before you get there. Lately, it seems like whenever they announce something, it's going to come out within a year, as far as software goes. So I anticipate Nintendo to continue with this trend. Sometime between now and March, Nintendo will announce their next lineup of games.
They probably don't want to talk about games that utilize two gamepads at once yet, so they don't overwhelm us. We have to get used to our Wii U's first and then reveal it and all the limitations will be discovered, too, so it will be a bittersweet moment.
after March? the console's-first-year drought begins. it's how things always go, much as we tend to hope they won't.
BEST THREAD EVER future of NL >:3

It's like, I just love a cowboy
You know
I'm just like, I just, I know, it's bad
But I'm just like
Can I just like, hang off the back of your horse
And can you go a little faster?!
I'm actually hoping for a drought. I haven't even got a Wii U yet and I still have other projects on my plate financially that will take a toll (heck, I'm still waiting to get a job).

You do realize E3 is right around the corner after the "launch window" ends right? Granted we might see maybe one or two game announcements before E3 but pretty much all major game announcements/reveals will occur during E3. Nintendo always does this after releasing a new console.
Space game releases to maintain sales momentum, occasionally suprise us with Nintendo Direct conferences; though still generally being tight lipped, inspire the creation of an internet meme, disappoint us at E3, sell millions of consoles and games, have Miyamoto claim something we know about the Mario universe is wrong, and basically dominate the console market, like they've always done.
If we're talking about Nintendo published games only, I'm expecting them to release Bayonetta 2 in Q2 and announce nothing more till E3
It is very quiet, on all fronts, though. Makes me wonder if Nintendo have put an embargo on all Wii U publishers so they can keep the attention on launch window games. If they can do that(?)
That's it I guess... Nothing else to look forward to except playing games and waiting for games just the usual never-ending cycle as the saga continues.
A crossover title where Samus crashes in Hyrule after chasing metal Ridley there. Ridley teams up with Ganon and Link and Samus have to work together. Nintendo will pour all their resources into this, it will have online play, DLC, and other character cameos.
Or we can, ya know, just wait and see what Nintendo actually announces, we still have a couple months before we near the end of the launch window.
Feel free to add me on the Nintendo Network: ShadJV

This. E3 will happen, but just like it took until the holiday of the same year for more good games to come out again with the 3DS, there's a good chance that were probably gonna need to wait until then for whatever does get announced at the conference. At least this time we have more and better games to hold us over(last time we pretty much only had OOT3D which was an updated port of a Nintendo 64 game, but this time we have Monster Hunter, Rayman, Pikmin, etc.).
