we've got to mind the forum rules with the HD talk, but my pc isn't all that great. i just built it new, so it has up to date but modest components. that's all it takes these days.... the wii u would probably be more than capable of uprendering games without any issues. it does make me wonder how long each release would take though, considering how few n64 titles we got on the wii vc.

I feel graphics are more important to the game itself, and some people choose to appreciate details better than others. It's not really just centered on "HD, ooh! HD, aah!". That generalisation makes us out to look like we're just shallow-minded, and pay less attention to the gameplay - to me, graphics is an aspect of gameplay, and I believe many others sharing my opinion on graphics would agree. But even if others may not, I respect their thoughts nonetheless.

Anyway, just voicing my perspective. Back on track.

Too true. Play an FPS on different resolutions on the PC, and you'll find aiming is appreciably different.

Graphics are hella important. I find it funny when people say the art style is the most important when artstyle is just an extension of graphics. Compare twilight princess to the Wii U tech demo. Both using similar artstyles but the difference in graphics are a astounding. But a good base artstyle does a lot for a game. Wind Waker still looks great today because of the graphic style that was chosen.

Its best when the two work in tandem. Probablyxwhy I love 2D games since you dint have as many limitations

2D>3D in a lot of cases and that those were just 2D platformers and fighters I posted.

I would post a screenshot of Final Fantasy XIII, or Nier, or Dark Souls, or Journey, or Lost Odessey, or The Witcher 2, or Gregory Horror Show, or... to demonstrate that 3D is as capable of throwing up beautiful art style,but meh, it's late. Google search yourself those names

With the expection of the Wii Games all the others are running in 720p HD. I wasn't going to post 7 hi-res HD screenshots since they'd be too big and eat up bandwidth.

(And I'm sure the 3DS downloads aren't either)

Rune Factory looks pretty neat on PS3... I'm very disappointed there isn't a PS3 Harvest Moon, though. I guess production costs would be beyond that franchise
