At the beginning of E3: Destiny
... but I played the alpha version extensively yesterday and it's a mess, just a highly polished one. They stole shamelessly from Mass Effect, Star Wars as well as Star Craft (and Halo of course) in the design deparment but the gameplay itself is a Borderlands 2 LITE (not that there was massive depth to begin with). It just an FPS nothing more, nothing less gameplay wise, there is some LITE rpg elements and three active skills (one is your grenade and one your melee attack ... you heard that right yeah those are 'skills') but really mostly you will do two things: STRAFE and SHOOT (+Reload). It is a comically superficial game, your potential enjoyment can be handily predicted by your love for Halo or Borderlands. If those two games don't get you to the edge of your seat, neither will Destiny.
Destiny is also the reason I put Splatoon first. The whole time I was playing I wished with every fibre of my being that this would magically turn into a playable Splatoon demo right here in my living room. Too bad it didn't, but it will come 2015!
Do you expect a finished game like Borderlands/Halo/(whatever else you were holding it up to as comparison) in Alpha?

stuff nintendo showed: everything except kirby canvas course or whatever it's called and the sumo robot game (tho i suspect it's just a mecanic that will be implemented into something totally diffrent)
stuff others showed off: no mans sky, new platinum game, lbp3, and sunset overdrive. (yup thats it)
