Super Mario 64 sequel. Much needed!

I really don't like the navigation bar of Nintendo Life continuously reappearing while browsing!!

I thought Sunshine was the m64 sequel.

Something along the lines of either Galaxy or 64. I want the life meter and not the small Mario, super Mario type thing as well as the Power Star collecting stuff. Also, I'd like there to be a lot of areas just like in Galaxy but only two or three missions per area. The areas in 64 could be a bit repetitious after a while. And as many power-ups as there were in 3D World.

I think I'm asking too much.

I'm hoping that we'll see Galaxy 3 this generation. No offense, but SM3DW just doesn't cut it as the only 3D Mario adventure on the Wii U. It's not bad, but was far too safe and nowhere near as exciting as the galaxy games or even SM64 was.

I'd also like to see Paper Mario return to its traditional JRPG roots instead of a platformer like Sticker Star was. There are too many platformers on Nintendo consoles as it is so Paper Mario 64 and Paper Mario: And The Thousand Year Door were a nice change of pace.

A paper mario game wouldnt hurt!

Besides I would go for almost any mario sports title! it should be focused, however, no sports mix or something, just plain tennis, strikers, maybe baskeball would be nice... or even golf

and generally speaking I would like to see a super mario rpg,

what I dont really want to see are remakes, at least not for the wii u, a game like mario sunshine would be best on the n3ds IMHO

I want a sequel to Sunshine. BRING BACK THE F.L.U.D.D.

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

Well, Super Mario 64/Sunshine sequel then, as I usually say.

Large, secret-filled hub castle with paintings to access individual stages? Hell yes.

Yep, I think Super Mario 64 is the best 3D Mario game. Of course, graphics look dated by today's standards, but the game design is the best yet, and Sunshine comes second.

Super Mario 64 sequel, yeahhh!

Open world Mario RPG, disguised as a 3D platformer. Think Xenoblade, but with much denser levels, and much more vertical space.

This made me picture a xenotype mario game with paper mario (the original two) elements.. that would probably work pretty well actually. ._. now i want to see it, open world mario adventure rpg.

Gimme five, don't leave me hangin'.

Honestly, I want a good ol' successor to Mario 64. An openish-world Mario game that does the basics fantastically while introducing a few new powers. I want a new classic.

I LOVE NSMBU and 3D World, but I don't know if those will go down in history with the likes of Mario 64. And to those who think something like this can't happen again "because modern/it's all been done before," Galaxy managed to do it just last generation, so a classic title CAN still be achieved.

I want me a fresh new 3D Mario game, no sequels. Although, I would love it if "NINTENDO" takes some gameplay elements from each 3D Mario game.

Who are you?

I just want a large hubworld again, filled with secrets. Not princess peach's castle, but something new and different. Same concept though. Also, no more Galaxy please. Galaxy 2 was such a disappointment. It's easily one of my least favorite 3D Mario's.

7. Galaxy 2
6. Mario 64
5. 3D Land
4. 3D World
3. Sunshine
2. Mario 64 DS
1. Galaxy 1

Galaxy 2 was just so much less epic than Galaxy 1. And most of it's ideas weren't very fun to me. It seems like it was dumbed down a lot, and it's soooo freaking linear.

A real 3D Mario game

They would have to first make real 3D games, right now they only make games that appear 3D but are actually 2D (cause TV is only a 2D display, "3D TVs" are still only 2D displays that trick your eyes into seeing 3D)

I sense a misunderstanding in the force.

No misunderstanding on my side

So are your eyes, but you can stil move in a 3D world just like you can move in 3D in a 3D game.

Come on now. You know what I meant

Yeah

I want to see Mario in the style of 64 and Sunshine again. (Mainly Sunshine) While I enjoy 3D World a lot, I do want a new Mario with lots of "secrets"
