I would like to see an awesome story (of course), definitely improved on foot controls, controls that fit the controllers, co op missions, maybe arwing transforming into the landmaster, definitely online multiplayer, arwing customization (please for the love of all that is holy add this), and of course a mega awesome soundtrack to this game.
A good shoot-em-up. It can have plenty of other elements as well as long as they're done well but my main interest is a Star Fox game that lives up to what's been done before. It's kinda weird that no one at Nintendo has been able to do that for such a seemingly simple genre...

yeah, i dont see why for Nintendo (of all game devs) cant come up with new elements that actually change gameplay and make it more fun than previous starfox games.
I would rather have no foot missions, unless it were done in a rail shooter, Sin & Punishment style.
Also, combining use of vehicles (arwing, landmaster, blue marine, on foot) during missions, whether it be multiple players controlling one each or one player switching between multiple, would be fun.
Oh, and more vehicles. Like a vehicle that digs underground or something.
Im not a starfox fan, but to pull me in i sorta want them to throw in a Easter egg about bayoetta. Only because bayoetta had a nice Easter egg for them...Also a samus throw back would be nice.(Idk why Easter eggs are a selling point for me but they are)
Playing: Wargroove on Switch and Fire Emblem on GBA
Keep it a rail shooter, if you want some tank/sub/all-range moments, that is fine, but they need to keep it in line with the orginal title and SF 64. No lame gimmicks please.
If it only takes an hour and a half to beat the game, who cares, as long as you have branching paths.
Also, an in-depth online multiplayer or co-op mode would be nice.
I want them to expand the game play mechanics to Submarines and the sea as well.. and focus on giving the characters more personality and a great multiplayer co-op
Something new that we haven't seen in a Star Fox game before
Well, the GamePad and co-op are going to be a thing, based off of what Miyamoto said. The graphics will be better. Those separate games(robot, camera defend) are supposed to be part of it. Amiibo support for Fox will probably happen. There are alot of unknowns, but I figure that all of this will happen, at least.
