Okay, I already know we'll get retail downloads and new Virtual Console titles (like possibly Gamecube titles) but what download only titles do you want to see on the Wii U eShop? Here's what I want:
+Ports of XBLA/PSN games like Dreamcast titles, Sonic 4: Episode II, Joe Danger, and so on.
+Pushmo HD (not a remake, a new Pushmo game on Wii U)
+New downloadable IP
+Digital-only game of famous Nintendo IP (Maybe Mario, Link, Kirby, Pokemon, etc.)
+Wii U remakes of classic games? (F-Zero, anyone?)
I could go on. Tell me what you think in the comments below!

Original games from Nintendo.

And PixelJunk Shooter is exclusive to Sony. You won't see it on the eShop.

the Fluidity sequel. Because tilting with the 3DS is largely awkward and weird.

I mainly want stuff that I can't just get on XBLA. Especially certain Steam games since I am dumb and don't use Steam. Considering certain improved aspects of the new eShop for indie devs, this is probably exactly what will happen too.

also maybe a new old school looking mario title made by Miyamoto. And some sequels to C-level Nintendo properties. And that "prequel game for a new retail Metroid title" idea I had a while ago.

A whole bunch of great Gamecube games on the Virtual Console. Got to introduce Wii era Nintendo fans to Mario Sunshine and The Legend of Zelda The Wind Waker you know!

My rather lofty wishes for the Wii U eshop would be ports of the few HD multiplats I wanted to play, but missed on the Wii:
Bioshock
RAGE
Red Dead Redemption
Eternal Sonata
Maybe 1 or 2 more I can't remember

I'd also be interested in pretty much anything Nintendo puts on there. And Jett Rocket 2. Actually, sequels to many of the best WiiWares would be pretty awesome, if even more unlikely than the retail games I mentioned.

There are a few things I'd like to see, either as retail or download-only, I would love a 'Tales of' game ported to the Wii U, maybe Tales of the Abyss, I'd love to play it again on the Wi U, just to see what they could do, or port Tales of Graces F instead. Also I'd love to see a version of Cave Story on the console, still thinking I should just buy the Wiiware version before they remove it for a possible Wii U version (if that happens).
Perhaps another Pokemon rumble game on the Wii U eshop? I'd like to see if Two Brothers made it here, it looks beautiful for a retro gameboy-styled action adventure game.
As for Virtual Console or remakes, I'd like to see Earthbound or Earthbound Zero on the VC or remade for the eShop, they are neglected Nintendo IPs that would be honestly brilliant if they were on the Wii U in some shape or form. I'd love to see some more SNES RPGs that i've never been able to play like Illusion of Time, Final Fantasy V, etc.

  • Pac-Man Championship Edition DX, Pac-Man VS, and Galaga Legions DX (I'd rather have a retail compilation disc for the HD Pac-Man & Galaga games though)
  • Scott Pilgrim VS the World
  • Skullgirls
  • Super Monkey Ball Deluxe (HD version of the 6th gen game, also have it on XBLA, PSN, and PC)
  • Space Channel 5 Part 1 & 2 (PSN, XBLA, and PC only have Part 2)
  • Sonic 4 Episode 2 (The Wii got left with a cliffhanger)
  • A bunch of new indie games
  • A Wii U version of Check Mii Out and Everyone Votes fused into one app
  • A notebook app

Rest in Peace ShiftyLook
I keep these Nintendo Life threads updated: Missing 3DS VC and Wii U VC between regions, Full of list first party Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Gear games missing from the 3DS VC, and Full of list first party Game Boy Advance games missing from the Wii U VC.

HD remakes of too many games to count. Res Evil 4, Metroid Prime 1,2,3, and any 3D Mario game. I'd also really like a music app, and Skype too.

First and foremost, GameCube Virtual Console games! Come on, Nintendo. If we can't play our GameCube discs on the Wii U like we could with the Wii, then at least try to capitalize on it by re-releasing the best titles via the eShop! Don't let eBay sellers of rare GameCube games make all the money at your expense... Get on it!
