I was answering the question "what do you think nintendo's response will be to the copycat gamepad controller called the the cross plane?" in a funny way, and other than off tv play it's unusable one other reason that nintendo should even ignore it, plus I really am in the mood to fool around lately.

I was talking about the 'they probably will say oh look they have a gamepad but no games use it' cause every game would use it so that makes no sense. It's just designed for off screen play.

I think they're probably going to send a cease and desist order and try and have it shut down. I mean, look at Apple and their iPhone design patent lawsuits. They've won battles against companies who made devices that barely looked anything like their own inventions simply because of things like the colour scheme and minor design motifs. But this is literally a carbon copy of the GamePad. So it's likely Nintendo will have no trouble proving infringement in court.

I see it being shut down, maybe with a court case if the makers keep going.

@RancidVomit86 well it sure looks like a Gamepad(and before the WiiU gamepad gamepads were just controllers, weren't they?)

I give up. It seems you are not getting my point. I never disputed that it does/doesn't look like a Wii U gamepad.

This looks exactly like a reskin of a Wii U Controller. Look at all of these controllers:

Now look at Nintendo's controllers. You should note that the analog sticks are on the top to be original. This game pad does the same thing! Why can't they just copy the button design from any of the other controllers... like the ones they're supporting (no Wii U, of course, why would they?). Getting emulators of NES, SNES, GBA, and N64 makes it even worse. I'm pretty sure that it will be piracy, unless Nintendo goes insane and tells the newest employee to "handle those jokers" but instead he signs an agreement that gives them the right to use all of Nintendo's games and redistribute them.

I always love those Logitech controllers that look like a Xbox and Playstation controller had a weird taboo baby.

Beyond Good and Evil 2 better be happening! In the meanwhile though, here's a fun little Let's Play of the original. Think you'll like the game if you like Zelda!

Looks awful. I doubt it will reach its goal, but if it does, I doubt Nintendo will leave it alone.

It's just a tablet with controller buttons. Fine enough idea, I guess, but I doubt it'll ever get any kind of support or following. I could see Nvidia getting more upset than Nintendo though...
