This is Iwata we're talking about here, so either something completely out left field, yet somehow completely natural or combining a bunch of ideas that can not possibly work, but does.
Followed with great 1st support, and 3rd party either being shovelware, or somewhere between GCN and N64.
I hope it will be powerful enough to be compared to the other (future) two, and with an internal architecture able to support ports from other platform without too much hard work....
That's why I am a bit worried about all these talks regarding an hybrid between home and portable console... I hope it won't be a gimmick which will make the porting such a hard task that no-one except nintendo will jump on board....
I am more prone to see a home console which is able to dialogue with the portable one in some easy way (or having the portable one acting as a second gamepad)... but I wouldn't drop the gamepad idea... is cool, just need some real support...
Oh... and please, don't even think to call it WiiZ or Wii-whatever.... give it a cool name this time...
Nintendo combined their handheld and home console development units not long ago. Perhaps this will yield some interesting results. I'd welcome a hybrid console, a bit like a mobile Wii U, with the gamepad shrunken to a more sensible size, given a clam shell design, lots of SSD memory and horsepower.
Currently on the plate:
Mount and Blade: Warband – Napoleonic Wars
Chivalry
Super Mario 3D World – Finishing the last few levels.
Mario Kart 8
Has Nintendo ever had a "Traditional" Controller? Sone of their controller features became traditional but I think they all tried to expand on the idea of how we interact with games.
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

voices report that the controller for the new home console will be a 1:1 scaled Miyamoto figure that you and ur friends will move around the house....

I would actually welcome that, If I am playing Smash Bros 5 on my TV and I want to get a bite at a Pizza Place, I can just bring my Smash Bros anywhere.
i think next time Nintendo will produce more powerful console which can compete with it's competitors (almost as powerful as next home ps)
and i think Nintendo will introduce that with something like oculus rift but with good price and good weight . also i like unified platform (i mean both home console and hanheld have same games )
also i think Nintendo will allow to play 3d games on TV's which doesn't support 3d playback

I am more than happy to see a unified platform.... as long as this won't become so complecating that we won't see any port of any 3rd party good games.... if will be like that, I will honestly skip the console.... I have enough of Mario platforming and not so much else...
I think it will be more powerful than a PS4 but less powerful than a PS6. Sony and MS won't even have hardware next gen, they'll just have a streaming/rental service to play super enhanced versions of Die Hard Trilogy and Destruction Derby with almost no lag.
I think it will launch with a Mario Kart game, a Zelda game and a Pokemon game that ties to the handheld controller which doubles up as a GBA2.
I only posted this to get my avatar as the forum's thumbnail.
